Bellamy's POV:
The group and i return from our camping trip. It is late afternoon and i can see the sky beginning to fade.
We have arrived earlier than planned. Clarke never came back and once we caught some 'food' we wanted to get back quickly...well i did.
I throw the meat over to the 'skinners' and ignore their malicious glares. I scan the camp for Clarke but my eyes find Finn.
I sigh, swallow my annoyance and walk up to where he is sat by the fire beside Raven.
Is his hand on top of hers?
"Bellamy!" Finn says in a sarcastically pleased tone.
"Finn." I reply shortly. I pull my eyes away from his hand that is definitely placed over and around Ravens and ask what i want to. "Have you seen Clarke? She said she was coming back...but she didnt" i say, trying not to sound too worried.
A flash of knowing crosses Finn's pale face and he looks away, his hand sliding off Ravens and falling into his lap.
My entire body tenses. What did he do to her?
"Where is she?" I demand firmly, my hands balling into fists at my sides. Finn flinches and Raven looks away.
"I...i dont know...she...left camp!"
"When?" I ask, my tone more urgent by the second as i fill with anger and concern.
"A few hours ago!"
This is enough to get me moving. He let his girlfriend leave camp without knowing where she was going! He doesnt even look worried. I storm away from him and head for the gate which is still open.
She left camp hours ago...and no one has seen her since...what if she is in trouble. Finn must have done something, Clarke isnt the reckless type and he was definitely hiding something.
Already equipped with my pack and weapons i trudge off into the forest. I search and search for signs of her passing.
I think i have found some sort of trail...rough outlines of footprints, broken twigs and scattered leaves. It isnt much but it is enough. I start to follow it, heading off down an unsteady trail.
For a while is see nothing. I hear nothing.
Now the sound of a far off river meets my ears. This isnt comforting. As i head towards the noise i hear something else. Crying.
My body lurches foward and i gather up energy i didnt know i had left in me. Thats when i see her.
A small figure. Curled up on the floor. Her blonde hair splayed over her trembling knees.
"Clarke" i say quietly, taking cautious steps up to her. She jumps slightly and looks up at me, her eyes are red and her cheeks are tear stained.
I feel myself breaking. What happened to her?
She doesnt break eye contact, but keeps staring blankly up at me.
"I saw him..." she sobs, using a shaky hand to wipe away the tears on her face. I step closer still. "With her..."
I instantly get it. That lieing, cheating, dirty, disgusting-
"He chose...her" Clarke is overcome by a wave of tears and her head falls back onto her knees.
I kneel down beside her, my knees pressing onto stones and sticks that cut through my trousers and open up my skin but i dont care.
"Clarke..." i begin...but what do i say? We arent even close...what does someone say in this situation.
I am startled when Clarke's body flies upwards and she is on her feet. She is pacing...mumbling to herself.
"Wasnt i good enough? Was this always going on? Was i so stupid for trusting him?" She cries, raising her voice so i can hear. Her distress is clear and i fight to find something to say...
I notice her drifting ever closer to the edge if a very steep, rocky hill...more like a mini cliff, that i hadnt noticed before. At the bottom of this mini cliff i see the raging river i had heard before.
Clarke is crying and still rambling, her words stumbling out of her mouth and getting carried away by the wind before i can hear them.
I watch, making a lunge foward as i notice her foot collapse against a dislodged root. I try to grab her as her body crumples.
I reach out my arms and call her name as i am too late...her body hits the ground and she begins rolling down the rocky slope.
Her head hits the ground, then her body...then her head again. She finally comes to a stop before hitting the water.
Her slight body is lying limp at the bottom of the rocks. I am already half way to her, making my way down the steep, uneven hill to reach her.
I am finally beside her but i do not want to dislodge any rocks...That could end in her body falling into the water and the rocks bellow.
She is breathing but unconscious and something sticky has dyed her hair and covered half her face. Blood. Lots of Blood.
AN: dun dun duuuun! Will she survive? And if she does what will the consequences be? Keep reading to find out :)
