Bellamy's POV:
Clarke smiles, any trace of bashfullness now gone from her composure and i wait eagerly for her answer.
She glances down at her hand where her fathers old watch sits. "Oh look at the time! I better go talk to my mum, she'll be worrying. The radio's been out!" Clarke gasps and with that she starts to walk away, a smug grin on her face.
I watch her walk away. The girl i just seem to keep letting slip through my fingers! I cant help but smile, despite her teasing.
"Whats that smile for?" Comes Jasper's voice and i turn to see him walking foward with Monty at his side. They both fold their arms, look knowingly at one another and nod.
I glare at them, starting to walk away but they follow like puppies.
"Who've you been talkin to?" Monty asks and i sigh, refusing to engage in their conversation.
"Well Mr Bellamy has been disgarding his duties!" Jasper tuts. Now i turn to face them and they stop walking abruptly.
"I got shot!" I exclaim and both their smiles waver slightly and suddenly the pain in my shoulder comes back to my attention and i feel light headed.
"Thats no excuse" Jasper says slightly less enthusiastically. "The guys who took Finn away...they're back, they say he's gone for good" he finishes in a tone of voice i cant put my finger on.
"Good! Now back to your posts!" I say, wafting them away with my hands. They both roll their eyes but they walk off anyway.
I feel useless! Anywhere i go to offer my help people shoo me away saying im "being ridiculous" or i will "hurt my shoulder".
I end up pacing. The camp is busy because the weather has just turned sour, the wind picking up.
"Hey Bellamy! You look bored, wanna come down to the river, we were gonna go skinny dipping!" Cries a girl i believe is called Rosie. She runs up to me, her long brown hair swaying side to side in the wind.
"Are you crazy! The water will be freezing! I think we are going to have a storm!" I exclaim, feeling baffled and i glance at the drop ship, the curtain pulled down and flapping, i wish Clarke would hurry up.
Rosie giggles "oh but thats part of the fun! I thought you'd like the challenge" she squeals.
"There is no challenge about it-
"Oh pretty please!" She pleads, starting to pout sadly.
"No i have to stay and-"
"Fine we will just go alone" she says, gesturing to two other girls walking towards us "and then you will be responsible if anything happens to us because you wouldnt come!" She finishes, crossing her arms.
I try not to audibly groan and as the other girls reach us they start begging me also and i have barely sighed a "fine" and they are dragging me from camp.
I glare at Miller who is by the gate, laughing at me. The girls are pulling my left arm and my shoulder explodes with a surge of pain but i gritt my teeth, looking back at the warmth of camp longingly.
"Come on Bell" one of the girls, a blonde, cries and i frown at the name. I wish she wouldnt call me that, like im her pet poodle! Octavia gets to call me that but not some girl!
We reach the river at great relief for my shoulder and as soon as the girls stop running i sit down against a rock, and hold my shoulder as if that will stop it hurting.
The girls suddenly have stripped down to their underwear when i look up. I wearily look down again, feeling like i might be sick.
"You coming in Bellamy?" Rosie asks, standing at the edge of the river. I look up at the blowing trees and wonder how they arent freezing! I myself am shaking.
