Bellamy's POV:
"Hey! Clarke, you alright?" I ask, as i pass her on my way to see her mum. "Clarke?" I say again, tapping her shoulder to get her attention. She looks up at me, a ghost like expression on her face that sends chills up my spine, but the look vanishes so quickly and is replaced with her gorgeous smile i am still so fond of. This relaxes me.
"Oh hey Bellamy! Camp is so weird now, dont you feel like we have little to organise anymore! Look so many people have left to go on long exploration trips! Camp is double the size, we are growing crops! I have just been helping with the gardening, hence the mud!" She sighs whilst laughing, gesturing down at herself.
"Ah i was wondering why you smelled so awful today!" I gasp, wrinkling my nose and Clarke giggles, so sweetly that my skin tingles.
"Oh shush! I dont smell half as bad as you! When did you last have a bath? I tell you what!" Clarke exclaims, looking excited, life springing up in her ocean blue eyes "lets go down to the river together later! I feel like stuff is so chaotic down here and we are always so busy that i never see you!" Clarke says sadly, pouting over dramatically.
I cannot help but laugh! "Sounds like a date!" I smirk and Clarke folds her arms and rolls her eyes, seeming so much herself that i suddenly am doubting going to her mum.
"Dont get too excited!" She laughs, narrowing her eyes sarcastically and i feel uneasy again for some reason as the conversation comes to an end.
"I have got uhh some things to take care of, meet you later for that date" i say cautiously and Clarke just nods and says okay.
So i head towards the dropship in the hopes of finding Abby, slightly less confident than before...Clarke seemed normal! But i cannot get that vacant expression she seems to have on her face alot recently, out of my head! I should say something to Abby, even if its just a slight concern for now.
I tell Abby about Clarke's wandering habbits and her bouts of confusion but i say it doesnt appear much to worry about.
She says "thank you for telling me! Im sure it is nothing, we cannot be sure...so keep checking on her...please!" She says, trying to sound more confident than i know she feels. "Oh and Bellamy" she says as i start to walk away "i know you care for her...i can see that and i just want to say thank you for, everything! Watch her for me"
I nod before leaving, glad she didnt seem too worried and that i seem to have made it into her good books finally! Kane on the other hand is another story, he has had me doing all the dirty jobs since he arrived but i wont complain! Its better than the alternative and contradicting him.
I pace for a moment, gathering my thoughts when i catch sight of Clarke accross camp. The sun seems to shine in such a way that her blonde hair is as bright and as beautiful as any star in the sky. She has ruined me in such a beautiful way...i cant even explain what i would do for her.
I walk over to her as if a piece of metal, being pulled to a magnet. "Ready to go Princess?" I say and she turns to me and nods with a smile. "After you" i say as we reach the gate.
Clarke raises her eyebrows at me and smirks "since when are you such a gentleman?" She scoffs, walking through the gate. I shrug and follow.
Although winter is coming soon and the days have been growing colder, today the sun is shining bright and a cool breeze keeps the temperature from rising too high.
Clarke takes a deep breath in and closes her eyes beside me as if taking it all in.
"How things have changed!" She breathes and in this moment she looks content. I watch in awe and amazement. I reach out and slip my hand over hers, she opens her eyes but the smile does not fall from her face as our fingers interlock.
Whatever we are. Whatever this is, its wonderful. We walk hand in hand under the canopy of trees until we reach the quiet part of the river.
"Okay stink brain! Time to take off those damn clothes!" Clarke says excitedly, her hand falling away from mine as she runs towards the river.
"Bring it on!" I laugh, running after her and removing my shirt all at once.
She slowly starts edging into the water in just her bra and pants. I run past her in just my boxers and splash her as i flop into the water ungracefully. She squeals as the cold water hits her.
"Ugh whatever!" She sighs, before sinking fully into the water too.
The sun shines on as we swim and splash, Clarke's hair so wet that it is sticking to her face. The blue of her eyes is so strong as she looks at me i freeze.
"Cat got your tongue?" She laughs, swimming closer and i hold out a hand.
"Do not come any closer you are looking too good right now!" I half joke and Clarke almost blushes then plunges towards me, i slow her down by grabbing her waist and she casually flings her arms over my shoulders. She throws back her head and looks up in such a relaxed manner that i dont want to disturb her.
"You look happy" i say softly and she slowly levels her head to look at me.
"I am happy" she replies quietly and my stomach flips as i bring up my hand to her cheek and try to peel back some of her straggely hair.
I pull her closer, the water moving with us as i move my lips to hers so they are barely grazing, her warm breath makes my skin tingle. This is perfect. I press my lips to hers and she kisses me back. If only this would last.
We finished the day by racing back to camp and said goodnight in a way that made me feel like a teenager walking his date home for the first time!
However, the next time I see Clarke, she is in the dark, in the middle of nowhere, her beautiful face streaked with tears...
