I had always loved the fall of year. Most people saw it as a sign of winter, when everything dies.
I couldn't help but see the beauty of it. All the beautiful colors, the trees were a canopy of red, gold, and various shades of orange. It was the end of the season, time for the animals and nature to sleep. And after this, they will awake to a new spring, new life will bloom. That is why I loved fall, for what it will bring.
I watched the golden leaves of the elm tree brush along as the wind carried it towards the centerpiece of the garden. A enormous fountain was located in the middle, where I was sitting. The water so clear, I could see the fish swimming along. It was a beautiful place, one that I will come to know very well.
I picked a flower from the bouquet that laid at my side, a Calla Lily.I studied the shape of the flower, the pure white of its color. It held up to its name, beauty.
"Leianna," I hear my name being called.
I glance up, laying the flower at my side.
"There you are!" Hermione says with relief crossing her face, "You left the dressing room and no one knew where you went, honestly, just one second that I step out..."
"I needed air," I tell her cutting her off. I knew she was going to rant about my carelessness of the situation.
"So you came all the way out here?" she questions me, "Isn't the house big enough that you could wonder in there?"
"It doesnt' have fresh air," I reply, "All I smell is the fragrance of thousands of flowers."
"I understand, you're nervous," she tells me, "Its a normal feeling when you.."
"I'm not nervous," I tell her turning to her with a half smile, "I am actually quiet the opposite."
She looked at me questionably, trying to figure out my emotion, my reasoning for my statement.
"I feel like I am in a dream," I explain to her, "A beautiful fairy-tale coming to life. That at any moment I am going to wake up and it all will disappear."
This caused her to laugh, a genuine Hermione laugh.
"I am not use to this much happiness," I tell her.
"Well," she begins, "Neither am I."
We both laughed, "God Hermione," I tell her, "I can't believe I am doing this."
"Me either," I would prefer it be with someone else," she tells me.
I bump my shoulder into hers, "Thanks for being here for me," I tell her.
"What are friends for?" she asks.
She then stands and picks up the flowers at my side, "Its almost time, and we still lack a few more details till your are ready, now lets go," she tells me as she extends the flowers out to me.
I take the bouquet and stand. I allow her to pull me back towards the mansion, back to the room where we all have been getting dressed since the morning.
"You found her," Ginny said in relief, "I thought I was going to have to alert the ministry of a missing witch," she added as she walks over to me.
"I doubt they would have enough time," Luna says coming into room as well, "We have only 20 minutes."
"Bloody hell Leianna," Ginny says reaching for the hairbrush, "You had to take off didn't you?"
"I needed air," I explain to her.
"Well next time I will hit you with a charm that will blow you around the room," she scolded, "At least then we will know where you were."
She began pulling my hair in every directions, twisting, braiding, and curling.
