CHAPTER 15: Black Carpet

[Mayu's P.O.V.]

I peaked out from where i was hiding. Yohan was beside me at ganun din ng ginagawa nya. His eyes were already back to their original color, purple. Nawalan na ng bisa ang lense na pibatak namin. Hindi naman na mahalaga kung wala syang contact lense ngayon dahil wala namang makakakita sakanya and besides walang maglalakas loob na lumabas ng bahay nila tuwing walang buwan-_-

This one is our second night at the village. Kagabi kasi, napakaliwanag ng sinag ng buwan at indeed, hindi nga nagpakita ng monster. However, iba ngayong gabi dahil natatakpan ng makakapal na ulap ang buwan kaya for sure, lalabas yun ngayon.

"Hindi tayo aatake dito. Dadalhin natin ang halimaw na yun sa ibang lugar. Pwedeng masaktan o may masira tayo kapag dito tayo nakipaglaban. Instead, we'll follow it kung saan man sya naggaling."-i paused. "Kailangan nating malaman kung anong klase ng mahika o sumpa ang ginagamit nya."

Yoham nodded. "Try not to destroy anything. Once we found out where the monster stay during the day, well scoit the way and find an effective way to deal with it."

I realized something. I giggled at that memory. "This is where the moment that my team will take the role and destroy everything."

Yoham smiled filled with amusement. "Kasama ka."

It was around midnight when i saw a flash of movement in the forest. Kinalabit ko si Yohan at tinuro ang direksyon kung saan ko iyon nakita. Due to a faint light, hindi ko makita kung ano bang itsura nito. But a few things were certain, it was near a small house at naglalakad iyon ng dalawang paa.

The monster face was visible causing the moon's light and my eyes widened. Th monster, as far as i can see, was definately not a monster. It, no, he has a brown hair and hazel eyes.

I glaced at Yohan and he was also looking at the boy with a creased forehead. I turned back to the boy but manage to hold my gasped when something happend.

The boy collapsed at the floor as i watch an eerie light surrounded the boy. I had to close my eyes kais sobrang nakakabulag talaga. Nang tumingin ulit ako, there was no boy but a furry moster. Perhaps, kasing laki ng isang bahay. I wondered why the mayor didnt tell us about the boy but maybe, hindi naman nya alam.

Yohan glaced at me then pointed toward the boy-who-turned-into-monster. For the past hour, wala itong ibang ginagawa kundi  siraiin ang lahat ng punong  madadaanan nito. "I think pabalik na ito."

I nodded. "Okay." I held up Darque's keys and muttered the summoning words. Darque appeared in a flash of black mist and smoke. I was hit with a smell of blood but it vanished quickly, maybe its just my imaginations. Humarap ako kay Darque, yes, she was in her combat/battle mode. Kaya nakikita ko nananaman yung mga red spalteres na nasa damit ni Darque; is it blood? I dont know.

"Okay, you guys remember the plan right?"-i asked. They nodded.

Darque transformed into her half mist state and float in the air. Hindi ko alam kung namamalik mata lang ako pero, she suddebly blurred. And i caught a sight of her just infront of the entrance of the forest. She blurred again and i lost sight of her now.

Ten minutes later, Darque suddenly appeared infron of us. "Nakuha ko na!"-she said. "There's a cave in this clearing deep in the forest. And that is where the monster boy was hiding."

Yohan pulled a map inside his pocket. Kinuha iyon ni Darque and she touched one of the side of her dress. With her finger that have red mark now, she mark the clearing with an X.

Yohan nodded. "Okay."-then he glaced at Darque. "Hey, nung nasa mist state ka kanina, was that some sort of teleportation? Ano yun?"

Darque smiled. "Wala naman talaga akong pangalan dun eh. Pero kung kinakailangan talaga, i refer to it as Black Carpet."-she said. "And i'm not teleporting."-then she grinned from ear to ear. "I was just moving super duper fast."-she flung her arms in the air just to emphasize what she mean. Edi sya na ang mabilis-_-

Yohan smiled. "Can you keep up with a speed of a meteor?"

Darque smirked. "Challange ba yan?"-she demanded.

Yohan smirked back. He turned to me and offer his hand. Naguguluhan naman akong tumingin sakanya pero inabot ko pa rin.

He smiled. He wrapped his one arm on my waist (nahiya naman ako nun!!-//-) and place the other on the ground. "Ready?"

Darque folded her arms."Anytime." As she smirked.

It took a heartbeat of me to realized what's going on. And in that heartbeat, Yohan and Darque was dashing out in the forest with an amazing speed. Yohan's using his favorite move, Meteor. And Darque's using her Black Carpet.

A second later, we are flying full speed through the forest.
