CHAPTER 18: RECTRUITMENT OF MEMBERS

[Mayu's P.O.V.]

I collapsed onto my knees. Beside me, Yohan sank down on the floor as well. "Did that actually happend? O namamalik mata lang ako?"-sabi ni Yohan.

I took a deep breath and gaze at Darque's key. "That was real. It was Lite." The something hit me. "Wait. So the monster was not actually a monster."-i said and Yohan eyed me.

"Because Darque said that Lite teleported some sort of failed transformation wizard to lure her out."-i said. "So, the monster was not a monster, but a boy who was forced to transform a monster he had no way of controlling in an attempt to protect his life."

Yohan frowned. "Yeah..." I bit my lower lip.

"We killed an innocent child..."-i whispered. Sh*t! Anong nagawa ko?!

Yohan's lips formed a thin line and looked at me. "Hindi nating ito pwedeng sabihin sa buong Village. To them, the mons---the boy, was a monster who killed many people."

I nodded. "The boy, Lite, creeps me out..."-i said and shot a glace at Hiro at mulhang nakuha naman nya iyon kaya tumango sya saakin. We have to disscuss something na hindi pwedeng marinig ni Darque.

I glaced at the sky, the sun was starting to rise. Kahit na hindi ko pa kita ito, alam ko naman na umaga na. "He knew who we are."-napatingin ako kay Yohan sa sinabi nya. "We only have three weeks until the full moon comes and Lite was free to attack us."

I gripped Darque's key. "Kailangan na nating makabalik kaagad para makapaghanda. If posible, habang nasa paglalakbay tayo, kailangan nating magtraining para maging mas malakas pa. I need to, to protect everyone."-i said with a smile. "That includes you, Darque."

I started to pack my bags para makauwi na kami kaagad. Darque hadn't said anything to any of us, ever since we had met Lite and i reminded myself that i needed to talk to Yohan.

When the two of us returned to town center, we were surprised to find out that the villagers were waiting for us anxiously.

When we told them the news of the monster, they broke into cheers. We received our rewards and had tried to retreat to our inn to rest.

Hindi ko talaga alam kung paaano at bakit, by somehow, we had been convinced into staying until the next day, so that we could enjoy the town.

The two of us had tried to decline, but after the whole town had swarmed us, we had finally given in.

I couldn't remember the last time i had enjoyed myself like that. Now, me and Yohan were packing our bags, ready to leave on the first train the next day. I grasped Darque's key and murmured. "Hiro and I are going out to sort somethings out, okay?"

"Sure."

[Yohan's P.O.V.]

Mayuyu leaned on the edge of the bridge that the villagers build para may libangan. The place was so peaceful. I really like the name i gave to her, Mayuyu.

I stood next to her, "So, ano na?"

Nakatingin lang sya sa may lawa at nakatingin naman ako sakanya. She signed, "She was my friend, and i promised her my help. Kaya tutulunagan ko sya, i never breaks my promise to anyone."

I smiled at ginulo ang buhok nya. "Narinig ko nga."

The raising sun was still hidden behind the mountains, but there was enough light for me to be able to see Mayuyu's face. Mayuyu met my smile with her own.

"Darque told me that the wish cycle can go on for a very long time." I said. "She only ever got her first candidate two cycles ago. She hadn't actually told them about the cycle, and just drove them into thinking that Lite was an evil mage that wanted her key. She told me that the whole thing went on for over seven years before Darque decided that she didn't want to kill her candidates, who had shown her nothing but kindness, for something like this." I said."So she told us the truth this time, and gave us a chance to draw out if we wanted to." I concluded and breath heavily.

Napapansin ko lang ah. These past few days, nahahawa na ako sa babaeng to sa kaka-english. I'm not that fond of english but after meeting her, mas lalo ko tuloy gustong makipagusap sakanya in english way. At mukhang sanay na sanay na din syang gumamit ng langguage na iyon, dahil unang makita ko pa lang sya, naka-english na sya.

Mayuyu nodded. "Lite hasn't found his candidates yet. Both he and Darque said that they can only attack the other when they both have found candidates, or after the full moon. I think that means that after the full moon, they can attack whether or not they have found candidates. That most likely means that Lite will find his candidates before the full moon, because if he doesn't, it will give him a disadvantage." I nodded.

See? Walang tagalog man lang. May accent pa ang pagkakasabi nya nun.

"We're going to have to tell Trojan and Paris about this. Cayenne, Jared and Caleb as well, they decide to help us." I said.

"Since nasabi na rin naman natin ang pagalis ko. Kailangan na lang natin hintayin ang pasya ng iba. And about the new Clan side of things to Darque, as she said to leave it to her."

Mayuyu made a sound of agreement. "I don't think we should recruit too many people, as it will bring more attention if many powerful wizards leave their Clans all at once." I paused. "I have an feeling that Darque will want to keep this as unknown as possible, because from looking at her personality, she's the type that doesn't want to hurt people without a proper reason."

"We'll talk to everyone about this as soon as we get back, then discuss this with the others after we get Cayenne's response for Jared." She added. And i nodded.

After our disscussion, bumalik na kami sa inn at nagayos. Pumunta kaagad kami sa train station at baka maiwan pa kami ng train. Hinatid pa nga kami ng mga Villagers at nagpabaon pa sila. Hindi ko tuloy maiwasang hindi maguilty.

I signed and relaxed at my seat. Mahaba haba pa nga byahe kaya iidlip muna ako.
