Chapter 24

Beau's POV

2 weeks without Jen. She's lost. Disappeared. Vanished. I don't know what to do.
Lina &  Maya are now 6 months pregnant.
Today they are coming to NY. They found an apartment here and Maya found work.

Lina is not going to work for at least 1 year. She only want to work maximum 2 days a week after the twins turned 3 months. She wants to stay with the twins as much as possible in their first year. Maya will work 5 days a week.

I promised them I would pick them up from the airport at 12:45. Their belongings are coming by car later this week. I have to pick them up by car, so I can not drink today. In fact, I have to stop drinking in general.

They will never give me full responsibility over the twins if I'm a drunk. I must quit it. It's also better for myself. But I miss Jen so freaking much and the uncertainty of what happened to her is unbearable..

But from now on I will put the alcohol aside. It's better for everyone. The twins, me, Jen...

Jen's POV

"You... LOVE me..?" I ask him insecure.
"Yes, Jen, I love you. I love you  from the moment I first laid my eyes on you. In the park." Harry is serious. He means it.
Crazy enough, I didn't believe Beau lately when he told me he loved me.

In the beginning, I did. But since a few weeks before I got abducted I could not feel Beau's love. I even had the feeling for a while that he was cheating.

"Why did you rip me away from my life just like that? If you truly love me, you would have told me like a gentleman and you would have given me some time to think about it."

"You would have chosen Beau."
"What makes you think I will choose you now?"
"I can feel it."
"Why are you so secure about your own feeling?"
"Why do you ask so many questions? Can't you just tell me if you love me too or not? Because I'm getting quite nervous if you leave me here in uncertainty."

Did he just really say that??? Since when does he feel something?
"I.. I.. No...!"
Harry's face turns from concerned to sadness.
"I mean.. I don't know, Harry.."

"You're pregnant." Harry says.
"Wh-what..? How...?" How the hell does he know that!?
"Remember that time you went baby-shopping in Walmart with your friend and her cute little daughter? Maybe you noticed that someone was.. -"
"- staring at us!! That was you!!?"

"Yes, that was me."
"Were you following me!?"
"No! It might look like that, but I swear, I wasn't.. I just needed to buy something myself."
"In the Walmart in New York.. While you live in Iceland.. Yeah right.."

"I live everywhere and nowhere, darling. When I first saw you in that park I was also just wandering around in my favorite city."
"How rich are you??? How can you afford all those plane tickets?!"
"Don't talk about the money. I just manage okay?"

"Okay..."
"So you are pregnant with Beau and that's why you don't want to live with me here in Iceland?"
"I..  Guess so...?"
"Are you sure that is the only reason?"

"I don't know.."
"Just the fact that you don't know wether to chose me -practically a complete stranger since you only saw me a couple of times- or your boyfriend should make you wanna reconsider your relationship with him.."

There he has a point. I don't like to admit it, but he has a point.

"Can you - can you just leave me alone for a while now?"
"Of course. Take your time Jennifer."

He strokes my hip softly one more time before he walks away. Leaving a warm area on my bed that's turning cold as soon as he's out of the room.

Now I have to choose. Beau, our baby, New york. Or Harry, Beau and my baby, and Iceland. If only I could see Beau one last time before I make my decision...
