Chen Jia Hua aka Ella, our protagonist, was raised up in an orphanage and later taken in by the generous, (and must I say-rich), Andrew and Sheng Cheng because of difficulty reproducing. But a few years later, Sheng found out the reason she wasn’t able to reproduce was because of some malfunction in her system causing her to slowly die. Andrew soon re-married to Amy. Amy has two daughters of her own who she loves dearly. The eldest one was Charlene, and the other was named Angela. Charlene was five years older than Angela and Ella. But still, Angela was a few months older than Ella. With the fact that Charlene and Angela knew about the adoption of Ella, the sisters treated Ella like a maid.
One day, Andrew’s good friend Mike Wu announced that he was holding a charity event for the richest in town. But without anyone knowing, the event was really for his son. Mike desperately wanted his son to marry before he dies, so he decided to throw in a charily part as well because he knows how much his son loves to throw away money. The charity event was to auction off the prettiest ladies in Taiwan. Who ever pays the most for one particular girl, must do the honors of taking her out for the whole day, whether she wants to or not. What they do in their own spare time is up to them, but since the man is gambling for the lady, the lady must respect the man enough to at least let him take her out to dinner.
When Ella is mistaken for one of the girls, she gets herself into a date with Mike Wu’s son, Chun. Seeing that Ella is the perfect women for Chun. Mike asks Andrew for her hand in marriage for his son. While Amy is furiously mad because she wanted one of her daughters to be wed with Wu Chun because of his fame.
Will Andrew agree to let Ella go to his best friend without them knowing Ella’s true identity?
Chen Jia Hua aka Ella: ‘Our Protagonist‘. A lost daughter of one of the richest in Taiwan, Mong and Li Chen. She was taken from her home at a few months at age because of a threat Mong made to some gangster. She grew up in an orphanage home and later adopted by Andrew and Sheng Cheng.
Wu Chun: ‘The Knight in Shining Armor‘. The son of one of the richest man in Taiwan. Works under his father. He’s handsome, smart, honest, and yes--a playboy. He has that killer smile that will make any women drool over him. He likes to bully those who are intimidated, like Ella. With the fact that he will be Ella’s new groom, the actions of ruining her life was so tempting, but he later feels something with her that he’d never felt with anyone.
Mong and Li Chen: Ella’s real birth parents, who because of threaten one of the gangster in town lost their child.
Andrew and Sheng Cheng: One of the richest in Taiwan. The parents who adopted Ella from the orphanage home. Sheng later dies as cancer overtakes her body. Before Sheng died, both parents loved Ella like their own child, but after the death of Sheng, Andrew distanced himself from Ella because as soon as he would look at Ella, he’d remember the times with his first wife.
Amy Zhang Choi Cheng, Charlene Choi Cheng, Angela Zhang Cheng: The evil step-mother, and the evil step sisters. They all despise Ella because all the guys seems to prefer Ella over Charlene and Angela. They all try to ruin Ella’s life, and at the point thought they were successful.
Jiro Wang: One of the gangster’s workmen. He was sent to look after Ella after his father was suppose to kill Ella. He later finds the one named Ella and secretly falls in love with her.
Tank: Ella’s friend who lived with her in the orphanage home. He later grows up to be a successful owner.
Selina and Hebe: Ella’s best friends. Selina is the more girly while Hebe is the down to earth, just like Ella.
