Chun was afraid to inform the family about Ella’s whereabouts, simply because he didn’t know where she was.

But like a good son, he did.

And the family didn’t take it well, nor did her friends.

He accepted all of the bruises and yelling but he still didn’t accept the fact that Ella wanted to get divorce.

This little info he kept for himself and didn’t tell anyone because he thought it was personal.

While he sat on the his bed thinking of places Ella could have gone, everyone paced back and forth downstairs in the Wu’s residents, just hoping that Ella would come home.

After all, she was in a lot of pain, she couldn’t have gone far, right?

---

Ella wondered the nights street, literally limping and aching.

She wanted to return to the Chengs.

They were her only family and she wanted to keep it that way.

She accepted the fact that Li and Mong were her real parents but she was still mad.

Because they left her as well from child birth, and like the world, they didn’t want her as well.

She didn’t know how she entered the Wu’s without getting caught.

But she did.

And that was the last place she wanted to return too.

She couldn’t go to any of her friend’s house because she didn’t want them to worry and plus she knew that sooner or later they’ll inform Chun.

Chun.

She didn’t know how to feel for the man anymore.

She felt so used.

She wanted to hate him, but she couldn’t.

She couldn’t hate him because she saw him as the only one who treated her like anything besides Andrew.

Especially when young when she was most desperate.

He was there inside her heart.

And now, she wished that he wasn’t.

She hated her self for still liking him.

It was hard enough to love him secretly but to let him go was something else.

She couldn’t sign the divorce papers without having the urge to rip the document up.

But she knew it was going to be better for Chun, so her mind over took her heart and left the house of Wu with her signature on the flimsy piece of paper.

“Jiro, what are you doing?” Qian asked seeing Jiro paced back and forth in the shadows of the house.

“Oh, Uncle, nothing--Just thinking.” he said.

“That must be the first.” Qian joked, but Jiro didn’t bother smiling.

This was all his fault, if he hadn’t showed up in Ella’s life, Ella wouldn’t be missing and he knew fairly well that that meant danger for him and for her.

“Getting nervous about marriage?” Qian asked.

Jiro shook his head. “No, it’s not that, but about Selina’s best friend.”

Qian gasped. “You’re going cheating on her on her best friend?”

“No! I-” Jiro looked around the room and pulled his uncle to a quite room.

Jiro didn’t know how to start.

Qian was the only one he could trust inside the Yan house.

When he made sure that no one was near by, he pulled out a picture of Ella he stole a few months ago from Selina.

“Who is she?”

Jiro pushed the picture closer to him. “Jia Hua.”

“You mean ‘Chen’ Jia Hua?!” Jiro shushed him and nodded. “Jiro I thought you-”

“I ran, like my father told me. I took the baby and ran towards an orphanage home a few blocks from here. I tried to go back and find her, but-”

“You went and looked for her?.”

Jiro was confused.

“What?-”

“No! I didn’t mean to look for her. When I thought she looked familiar and I asked her about the necklace-”

“You showed her the necklace? Are you trying to get yourself killed?!”

Jiro looked at him with astonishment and didn’t say anything else.

“It’s because of her that your father died. You want to end up like him?” Qian angrily yelled at him. “If you ever want to see the light of day ever again, you stay away from her! You understand?”

Jiro didn’t but he nodded and Qian left.

Under the window was a head trying to hide himself from being seen.

And soon an evil smiled crept up his skinny face. “Go and join your father in heaven Jiro. It’s where you belong.” he said and crept away to find Yan.
