“Andrew you shouldn’t have lied to her!” Amy shouted at her husband. “She doesn’t deserve him!” Andrew rolled his eyes.
“Your daughters don’t deserve him either. Charlene can’t keep her hands of that play boy-Vic, and Angela’s never home! How can either of them take care of Chun?”
“Andrew, once they find out that Ella’s not from your blood, they will sell her, and only trouble roam around US!”
“That’s why, the Wu’s are never going to find out. Don’t you get it, Amy? The Wu’s wanted her, and I gave her to them, what more could you want?”
Amy sighed.
He knew what she wanted.
She wanted what her daughters wanted.
Their fame.

Ella woke up early in the morning finding Chun next to her.
She jerked from his hold, which woke him up.
“What happened to your face?” Chun asked disgusted. Ella touched her scratches on her cheek.
“Nothing. When did you come back?”
“Yesterday night? This morning? I don’t remember.” Chun said tiredly. He checked the clock.
It was only 4:45 in the morning. He laid back down on the bed while Ella ran into the bathroom.
She came out refreshed and exited to start preparing the day for him.
“Ella what are you doing so early?” Mary asked.
“I’m preparing Chun’s food for work.”
Mary chucked. “Honey, it’s the day after your marriage, Chun’s not even going to work. You need to go to do some shopping with him. I saw your wardrobe and it needs a few more accessories. I’ll call up Selina and Hebe to help you later.”
“Auntie-”
“Ma.” Mary corrected.
“Ma, I don’t need new clothes. We’ll use the money for something else.”
“No, we’re going to buy you new accessories today and make you all lovely for Chun.”
Ella felt hopeless. Her life was planned out in front of her already.
Mary could feel the stress in Ella’s sigh.
“Honey,” Mary pulled her to sit down on a sofa. “I know you’re mad at everything, and especially us--”
Ella tried to denied it.
“Ella, what I’m trying to say is that, ever since we meet you and your father a few years ago, I always had the fantasy idea that you would be my daughter in law. I had the obsession that you were going to be the only wife for my son. And you are. I didn’t accept any girl that Chun brought home. Even your sisters. I refused because I wanted you. I know you will do good for my son. You’ll be a good wife, and I know that since you were young, you always had an eye for my son.”
Ella forced a smile. “Does everyone know that I liked Chun?” She joked.
Mary smiled. “Honey, this will work out. I promise.”

Chun came down the stairs surprised at the smell of the food that was roaming around the room.
He peeked over Ella’s shoulders, which surprised her. She almost dropped the food on to the floor.
“Gosh!” Ella screamed. “Don’t do that!” She started to hit him.
