Everyone had heard of the incident at the company.
And Fang was fired.
Although Chun didn’t think that getting him fired wasn’t enough.
He’ll think of some other punishment later.
Chun didn’t want her to go back to the company anytime soon.
And quiet frankly, she didn’t want to go either.
She refused when he wanted to take her to the hospital.
And truthfully he was afraid that she would be taken away from him, when the doctors saw the marks on her arms, knowing that they were from Chun, not Fang.
He was scared of losing his face, and reputation.
But most of all, he was afraid of losing her.

Selina and Hebe came and visit her daily.
And soon, days became weeks which turned into months.
And Tank became a frequent visitor too.
“How’s life?” Tank asked.
“Ok. How’s Jade doing?” Ella asked back.
Tank smiled. “You still remember?”
Ella smiled in return. She could tell Tank had feelings for this women.
Chun watched them from far away. It pleased him so see his wife smiled.
It was the first time she smiled since the incident.
But it burned him to know that he wasn’t the one that was making her smiled.
And he was jealous.
“Jade’s doing ok.”
“Are you guy still a couple?” Ella asked smiling even bigger.
Tank nodded. “I’ve met her parents. They’re really nice. I’ve taken her to met my parents too.”
“And?”
“My parents wants me to marry her.” Tank said trying to hide his smile.
Ella squealed in excitement. “Congratulations!!”
“I didn’t ask her yet, dummy!!” Tank teased her.
“Why not?”
“We’ve only been going out for a month.”
“I’m afraid she won’t like me after I devote myself into being a husband.”
“Tank, any girl will be lucky to have you as a husband. And if she doesn’t like you after you guys are married then maybe she’s not right for you. And to tell you, anyone could tell that it’s love in her eyes when she looks at you.”
“Kind of like how you look at Chun?” Tank asked.
Her smiled disappeared.
She wasn’t going to lie to herself that she didn’t like Chun.
She love the man.
“Let’s not talk about me and him, Tank.”
“Why not?”
“Because…it’s weird.” Ella stumbled to say something truthfully.
“Weird how?” he asked.
“He‘s been taking care of me really well. And we‘ve been communicating better now, but I just feel that he sometimes doesn’t put his heart into some things he does with me.”
