Selina stayed in the hospital for a few more days and eventually was approved to go home.
“Honey, you want to stay with me?” Ella asked her.
“Would I be crazy if I gave Jiro another chance?” Selina asked her.
Ella could see the yearning for his love again.
“What made you change your mind?”
“His tears. My heart. Our love.” Selina sighed and shrugged. “I don’t know, maybe everything.”
“then you’re not crazy.” Ella told her with a smile and drove them home.
“Ella, I didn’t think you would keep this house.” Selina said as she walked through the floors that seemed too familiar with her.
“Well, I told Pong he could live in it as along as he helped clean it as well. And besides this is the only thing that my dad left for me. I want to keep it.”
“That makes sense. Thanks for letting me stay here.”
“I don’t want you to be alone.” Ella said truthfully.
Selina studied her as Ella started fixing up the bed sheets. “Ella, Chun’s been asking about you.” Selina said.
“So?”
“You have to face him sometime. You two are still married.”
“Yes, I know that.”
“Then why don’t you want to see him?”
“Because I’m the one who was wrong. I’m the one who left him. I can’t face him. Not now. Not yet.”
Selina was confused and Ella saw that.
“I thought I was doing the right thing. I knew that he never did like me so I decided to leave him, because I thought he would be happier without me.”
“and he’s not.” Selina pointed out.
“I know. Which is why I can’t face him.”
“Ella, he’s a changed man. I haven’t seen him with any other girls since you left.”
“that doesn’t mean that he changed. You might just to see him with other girls.”
“Ella, if I can forgive Jiro, he can forgive you.”
“That’s not all that I’m worried about Sel.”
“Then what is it?”
Ella took a big breath.
“I don’t know.” And that was the truth.
She didn’t want to see Chun again even though she was dying to be with him.
She still didn’t believe that he had changed his heart that fast after one night.
She didn’t know who what to believe anymore.
Her conscious told her to follow her heart.
And her heart would lead her straight to Chun.
But she was scared of him.
Scared of seeing the man she still cared about.
Scared of seeing him with another girl.
Scared of being loved by him again.
