Chun woke up alone.

He rushed downstairs to see Ella and his parents eating.

“It’s nice of you to join us, Chun. It’s about time you got up.” Mike said.

Ella avoided eye contact with him.

He only smiled knowing that she didn’t leave him again.

---

“Ella, let’s go!!” Mike said putting on his shoes.

Today was going to be the official day that she started training for her new job.

Mikehad permission from Mong to train her for the first few weeks, just to know the company, then Mong would teach her the rest.

Chun wanted to come with her, but Mike suggested that there was no use for him tagging along, since it was only the weekend. So instead he agreed to go with Arron and Hebe making the wedding arrangements.

“Ok Ella, I’m sure you know what the company is about but the first few steps you need to know the departments….”

Ella’s job was easier than she thought it would be. But then again, the work from America was really useful.

It was already lunch and Mike offered to take Ella to lunch, but Chun beat him to it.

Chun picked her up exactly at noon and told Ella to be back at the company at 12:30.

Chun drove the car in silence.

He wasn’t sure if Ella was still mad at him for embarrassing her yesterday, but she didn’t think about that. All Ella could think about was what he had said to her last night.

Secretly, she loved the feeling when he told her that he ‘thinks’ he loves her, but she knew that that was impossible.

She was always unloved.

And no one loved her besides Andrew, but he’s dead now, and it didn’t matter anymore to her.

“Ella!” Chun repeated her name.

“What?”

“Didn’t you hear me calling you?”

Ella shook her head. “What do you want?”

“Where do you want to eat?”

“I don’t care, it doesn’t matter. I’m not going to have a good appetite anyways.” Ella muttered.

Chun could see that she was more down today than other days. “Hey, are you ok?”

“I’m fine.” she said. “How about you?”

“Ella, I’m serious.” Chun said.

“I’m serious, too.”

“are you mad at me?”

“No, I’m not mad at you, Chun.”

“Ella--”

“Why do you have to be so god-damn annoying?” Ella asked, giving him eye contact for the first time that day.

“What’s gotten in to you? You seemed to be fine a few days ago.”

“Well that was a few days ago.” Ella commented.

Chun sighed, giving up the conversation with her.

She glanced at the clock on the dashboard, it was already 12:12.

If they weren’t going to stop somewhere, her lunch would be gone. And she was hungry.

Chun finally stopped at a simple Italian restaurant.
