Chapter 1 (part one):

“Jia Hua! Jia Hua!” a high pitched scream filled the house as feets scattered around. “Mong! She’s not in her room.”

“Li, honey, calm down. We’ll find her.” Mong tried to calm his wife down.

“When?!” the impatient women shouted. The frustrated husband was about to speak when one of his men spoke.

“Sir, we found this right outside young miss’s window.” he showed his master a piece of clothing with blood stains on it.

---

“Hush you little brat!!” a rasp voice came. “Stop crying!!” but the crying didn’t stop, it continued louder and louder. The squeaking of a car came around the corner.

“Wang!! Get in!!” The driver called.

“Qian!! I can’t believe I’m actually happy to see you!”

“Shut up and get in. Boss is going to have our a$$e$ for sure!”

---

“Wang, I was expecting you half and hour ago!”

“Boss I was trying to cover up the tracks so they wouldn’t find us.” Wang explained to his boss.

“What happened to your shirt?” his boss asked. Wang looked at his shirt and saw that he had been bleeding. He knew it was from trying to escape through the window.

“I guess one of the guys got a pretty good shot at me.” he lied.

“You were caught?” the boss raised his voice. Wang just look down trying to avoid eye contact. “You got the baby that’s all it matters. Now, I want you to dump the baby in the river.”

“But Sir-”

“Now, Wang! It’s either that child dies or yours. Which one?”

“Your wish is my command Sir.” Wang whispered to him as he excused himself out of the room. But before he can exit, his boss shouted out: "After you make sure she's dead, bring me her fingers. Or else..." he paused as he sence the fear in Wang's eyes. "..or else, i'll have your son's fingers." Wang closed his eyes tightly and walked out to a near by lake with the child in his arms wrapped up in sheets. The child had fallen asleep by now due to the drugs they gave the child. He looked at the child sleeping peacefully and noticed her necklace. Her name was printed on it. “Chen Jia Hua.” he read. He closed his eyes painfully and dipped the child’s body into the freezing water.
