Chun paced back and forth in front of the white doors, while Mong was sitting down focused on one thing.
Time seemed to stop forever.
Everything was silence and all was heard was the clock ticking.

An hour passed and no news.
An hour became two.
And soon two became five.
Chun and Mong got impatient.
The suspense was killing both of them.
Although the suspense was eating up Chum more than Mong.
“You should rest, Chun. I’m sure they’ll be fine.” Mong suggested but Chun didn’t listen. Instead he just continued to paced back and forth.
Honestly, he didn’t know why he was so worried.
He knew that the company was no longer in his hands, and he believed that it was Ella’s fault.
But then why was he still here, waiting for her to come out fine?

When the doors flung open, Chum immediacy ran towards the doctor.
“How’d it go?” Chun eagerly asked. “How’s my wife?”
The doctor looked at them, and smiled.
“They’ll both be fine. They just need a lot of rest right now.” the doctor sighed and Chun sighed in relief and shook the doctors hands.
“Thank you doctor!”

Chun stared at Ella sleeping like always and smiled.
He knew that she wasn’t going to be the same anymore. She would definitely rebel against him now, since she found out the truth.
He noticed the bruises on her waist and body.
He was surprised that she wasn’t in worst condition.
The doctors said that it was a miracle that she wasn’t dead or at least paralyzed.
He was just thankful that she was ok.

Li woke up earlier than Ella.
She was ordered to stay in the hospital for a few more days to make sure everything was going to be ok.
She’s often visited Ella when Chun was away for work the next day and she’d cry alone with Ella by her side.
It hurt her to know that Ella didn’t want to have anything to do with her.
She didn’t expect Ella to accept her as her biological mother but, she didn’t expect her to refuse her either.
All of this was so hard.
Suddenly she saw Ella moved her head, waking up.
“Honey?! Mong! Get the doctors! Ella’s awake!!” Li cried.
Ella opened her eyes and saw Li crying.
She quickly pulled her hand away.
She didn’t forget a thing that happened the few nights before.
“Get away from me!” she shouted as if she was crazy.
“Ella! Honey, don’t be scared. I’m here-”
