“Uncle Qian!” Jiro woke him up in the middle of the night.

“Jiro, go to sleep.” Qian tiredly said.

“I have to tell you something.” Jiro nudged.

“Wait until tomorrow.” Qian groaned.

“I might not live that long.” Jiro whispered to himself.

---Chun’s wedding day---

The room was packed. With news reporters, family members and people from work that Chun didn’t even know.

And yes--his ex’s were there, still trying to get him back, in fact.

Everyone was busy.

Especially Ella.

She was dressed in a brides’ maid dress, lightly colored blue, and her hair was now hanging down.

After the incident, Selina and Hebe took Ella to get her hair trimmed, now that it was short anyway.

--

After the family‘s blessing, Chun lifted up his brides veil, and kissed his bride, appropriately.

He opened his eyes to see the tears falling from the corner of Ella Cheng’s eyes.

--flashback--

“Dad you wanted to see me?” Ella asked timidly, entering the Wu‘s library.

He faced his adopted daughter. “Ella,” She kneeled down and sat by his foot. “Ella, I’m dying.” Andrew said.

Tears just started flowing out of Ella’s broken heart.

“Dad, the doctor said you’ll be fine, it’s nothing to worry about.” Ella told him.

“Ella, they found out something else--and I want to tell you before I die-”

“Dad you can’t do this to me! Mom left me and you can’t do that either!” Ella started screaming.

“Ella, you’re going to be leaving me before I leave you.”

“What? What are you talking about, dad?” Ella asked confused.

“From today on, you’re going to live with the Wu’s now. You’re going to be their new daughter in law-”

“No, Charlene-”

“Charlene knows everything.” Ella furrowed.

“How can you do this to me, dad?” Andrew closed his eyes tight. “Have I not done enough for you, after so many years?” Ella screamed slightly.

“Those years were nothing, compared to when Sheng was still alive! You killed her.” Ella felt like she was dying.

Every word was like a stab to her heart.

“And unless you do as I ask you today, you are no longer my daughter and I forbid you to step a foot in this house!” he screamed at her.

She wanted to scream…

She wanted to hate him…

But after years living with him, she needed him.

Now, and forever.

He was her father, the man that raised her, and the man that cared for her, and the man that loved her.

He was the man who she owes her life to.

“I’ll do it.” she whispered. Andrew lifted her off her knees and hugged her.

“That’s my girl.” he replied and kissed the top of her head. “Now go make your father proud.”
