The next day, Camila and I went to the beach to chill down. It was Saturday and the sun started to set. We were walking by the shore when a brunette came to us. The same age as Camila, nearly the same height if I measured correctly, and she also had a baby face. She looked so harmless, so sweet, but also fragile. I could describe her as an angel. She the same wave of hair like the Cuban's but more light in color. Her eyes were milky brown—slightly hazel—and they turned gold because of the sunset. She was indeed gorgeous—having the same alabaster skin as Lauren and her full pink lips. Her voice is soft, and too careful and sweet as she talked to me. The problem was I didn't get to catch her name. She left immediately when she said there was an emergency. That woman stayed in my mind for the whole day—but she didn't take Lauren away. She became a memory to me.
I love going back to these memories in an unexplainable way. Closing my journal, I sighed before dropping it beside me on my bed as I closed my eyes.
"Y/n?" Someone called behind my door, causing me to open my eyes.
"Yeah?" I asked, not getting up from my bed as I stared at the empty ceiling. They're just like me. Lifeless, and full of void.
"We're testing Lauren and I think you should come," Normani spoke from the closed door. "I mean, we couldn't work as a band without a lead guitarist, right?"
"Camila could take my job," I answered coldly, careful not to raise my voice and offend the other girl. "I'm not in the mood to play."
"Can you open your door first?" She asked irritably and if I continued on what I was doing, I'd definitely piss Normani off.
I huffed, hardly standing from the king sized bed and just unlocking the door before I plopped down on the bed again. It was Wednesday and I'm spending my time the past days like this.
"Y/n, you couldn't be not in the mood all the time," Normani spoke calmly. "You have said that excuse since Monday and how are we supposed to work out when you're being like this?"
"We're not."
"Come on, y/n. Camila told us the story—you said you're doing it for the band. I know you want to continue our career, too."
I did want to continue our career but it's just hard when you have so much in mind and the actual cause of it will be hanging out with you—as long as you're working. I can't be mad forever, can I?
"You know Lauren's sorry for what happened the other day," Normani spoke, causing me to look at her for the first time she's here. "She hated the fact that she was the reason you're not participating to our jamming since Monday."
"She should've hated leaving me, too," I retorted sternly, standing up from the bed and not bothering to change my clothes. Hell, why would I dress up for someone?
