Entering the same café, I didn't felt the same energy as before. Instead, I felt disappointment for myself for allowing things to end up this way. However, I continued walking until I was standing beside the counter.
"Thank you for coming, Sir. Enjoy your drinks!" Adi said as she smiled at the customer, noticing me from the corner of her eye.
She tugged on the sleeves of staff next to her before pointing at the next customer. She quickly got it and took Adi's place before making her way to me.
"Hey. Have you talked to her?" She asked, wiping her hands on her apron.
"Uh, yeah," I said, smiling at her. "I'm here to get Cara's gift, if you will."
"Oh, right," she said before motioning me to follow her to behind the counter. She led me to another door that was a few feet away from the locker room of the staffs, opening it to reveal a neat office. "You're a close friend of Ms. Delevingne?"
I smiled as she handed me a black box, nodding in response. "Very."
"I see," she said as she eyed the box before looking up at me. "Uh, that's pretty much it. I wanted to stay and see what Ms. Delevingne had for you but I have a shift to cover. You can stay here for a while if you want to. Just lock the door when you leave."
I nodded, earning a smile from her before she left. I sighed, running my fingers over the smooth texture of the box. I suddenly got curious to what it was. Maybe another wristwatch? I opened it carefully, and was surprised when I saw a circular gold lying inside. It looked like a locket but it was bigger and a bit bulky, with vintage-looking engravings that seemed to form a sun inside of two huge circles. A compass. When I pulled it out from its confinement, a long golden lace came hanging as it was connected on the item. I turned the cold metal around my hand before pressing on the side and causing the compass to click open. The interior looked even vintage and it was only then that I noticed the note it has on the box.
"So you'll always know
the right path to go.
- Cara"
I smiled, putting the gift back to the box before going out of the office. I thanked Adi once more and I got back to my car, heading back home.

"Ms. Y/n, have you eaten your breakfast already?" Tyrell asked when I passed by the dining room.
I actually wasn't able to—forgetting about it due to all the issues I've been thinking about—but I didn't bother to make Tyrell prepare a meal for me. I didn't have the appetite anyway. I was on my way to my room when I heard a rich and raspy voice singing when I reached the third floor, the music coming from our rehearsal room.
I walked towards the source and peeked through the small gap of opened door, keeping my mouth shut.
