"Jacket? Where's my jacket?" I asked, roaming around the room where our outfits are placed for the interview.
"Here," a staff spoke, handing me the black leather jacket on its hanger.
"Thanks," I replied, nodding appreciatively before putting the clothing on and standing still when another staff came to fix the lapel mic on me.
"Y/n?" The familiar raspy voice called, entering the room with a cup filled with red in her hand. "Try this. It's a float from McDonald's in red velvet flavor."
"McDonald's is a no for our diet, right?" I asked, the Cuban already shoving the straw to my mouth. I took a sip, not really wanting to obey the diet and of course, with Lauren, there's not much of pleading needed.
"Good?" She asked hopefully.
"Perfect." I smiled reassuringly at her, knowing that enough praising is needed to make her happy. "How'd you sneak that out?"
"I didn't have to." She snorted, taking the straw in between her lips and I watched the drink travel up the plastic tube. "Halsey isn't on good terms with us and she wouldn't talk unless it's necessary. She couldn't care less about us breaking our diet. Appearance don't affect much for the money she'll have."
"What do you mean?"
"The reason why we're having our diet is to stay fit, and if we care less about it, we'll get fat," she said, and I already noticed the insecurity building inside her.
"Who says you're getting fat?" I furrowed my brows, taking the cup from her when the staff's finally done with my lapel. "You're just in perfect shape, babe."
Before she could even protest, another man came yelling about the time. Well, we're about to have an interview right now to discuss the last tour and whatnot. Lauren snatched the float away from me and took one long sip before placing it on a table. She took my hand and started running with me to the stage.
"Hello, beautiful ladies of Midnight Iridescence," the interviewer greeted politely, his pearly white teeth showing as if he was a model for a toothpaste. "So, since One Wish tour have just ended, what are you guys up to at the moment?"
"Well, we're basically just chilling out and doing whatever we desired but some of us wanted to visit our families," Ally answered, smiling brightly between Dinah and Camila.
"Is that true or you're only saying that to cover the fact that you're already starting your new album?" He teased, earning laughter from us. "I'm kidding. How'd you feel, ladies? When the tour has ended?"
"Of course we felt sad about it, because it's like an event not only for people we want to hear our songs but for us, too, to be able to communicate with our fans," Camila stated, usually the one to pour her feelings out on questions like this. "It's different from talking with them through social medias because you can't look them in the eyes, not like when you're singing with them at the crowd—although only a few have experienced it—and you have them face to face; it's something really meaningful for me. Like, I can tell them how important they are through the song I'm singing."
