Chapter 4
Lany and her friend Helena were chatting in her bedroom. The two girls were having a loud conversation. They talked about the events of the past week.
Lany had told her about the nightclub and also about the car race.
"Your brother doesn't look at me," Helena confessed, depressed and gazed down.
"He commented to me that you are pretty," Lany confessed smiling at her. But Helena remained with her smile closed.
"Are you serious?" She asked excited. "And what else did he say?"
Her shoulders were shaking. "He said only this, Nelio is not in the habit of talking to me about women."
"Do you think I have a chance with Nelio?" She asked, hopeful and her eyes shone gently.
"This is a good start." Lany sat on her bed and left a sigh. "Although I think you should look for a guy with money."
"What did you say?"She was disappointed at her friend's bad counsel, her mouth partially open.
"My brother is beautiful! But he is poor! What kind of future will you have with him?"
"Wow...Lany!" She said disappointed at her friend.
"Helena you have a chance to get a rich man." She gently caressed her friend's dark hair. "You are beautiful and intelligent!"
"That is enough, Lany!" She said at the top of her voice. "I am in love with your brother."
"You should forget about him!"
"Enough!" Helena left her friend's bedroom, not wanting to hear anymore nonsense.
"Helena... wait!... Helena!" Lany shouted going after her.
