His mouth forms an "o" as he hears my words. Yeah. And that's when he looks down awkwardly.

"Why didn't you tell me that you were rich." I ask pressing the matter.

He lifts up his head and looks at me straight in the eye. My breath quickens as I look at his sea of dark green eyes. I blink rapidly and look at him with a straight face. Well. I tried to.

"Would you have treated me differently if I had told you," he asks with a pointed look.

And I feel guilty once i hear this.

"I see I'm right like always," He says with a smirk.

I scowl at him and I instantly realize my mistake.

"See that's why I don't tell people I'm rich. They act like everything they do is wrong. When they're clearly right. Those people who act like that are assholes. Do you realize how stupid it is that you treat me like a God when I'm human like you." He hisses as he kicks the table next to him.

I flinch as the table moves an inch. Should I respond or keep quiet. As I ponder this, he heaved a sigh.

"If you have something to say, just say it. No need to hold it in. What happened to that girl who speaks her own mind," he's says exasperation clear in his voice.

"Ummmmmm first off I don't treat you like that because I think you're a god. Quite honestly, you're really annoying and a jerk. I'm just being cautious of you because- because..." I stuttered.

Should I tell him the truth or tell him part of the truth.

"Because what?"

"Because you know my parents and I'm going to get in trouble if I'm seen with you. So please don't tell my parents that I know you ok,"

He looks at me with a confused look and I bite back my lip.

"May I ask who are your parents, Lily,"

I shake my head furiously.

"Why not,?"

"Because,"

"Are you seriously not going to tell me"

"Nope,"

"Fine,"

"But I'll make a bet with you,"

He looks at me with an earnest look.

"What kind of bet,"

I consider this for a moment. And I giggle when an idea comes into mind.

"I'm going to transform you into a whole new person. By teaching you to be nicer and less annoying."

His eyebrows go up in surprise.

"What's the catch,"

"The catch is if I win, I get to order you around for a whole day."

"What if you lose,"

"Then you can chose what you want me to do,"

He smirks again and I dread his answer. No doubt it would be something to his advantage.

"You regret your decision already Lily. You're supposed to keep your word. Not forfeit when something goes wrong,"

"I'm not," I shot back. I touch my face when he says this. Was my actions so predictable? Did I make a mistake on a making a bet.

"Ok then, if I win then you have to be my maid for 2 months. No quitting or forfeiting. Ok?"

I nod slowly in defeat. Well now I just needed to make Jake nicer and more happier. This was going to be a piece of cake. I hope.
