Coincidentally Fated

Chapter 1 :

I wake up with a start. I move my hand through my hair. " What kind of dream was that" I thought. My memory was still foggy from the dream. I haven't thought about Jake Stuart in more than 10 years. Me and Jake met when we were 7 years old. He tagged along with his mother when she came to clean the house one day. I invited him to play with me and that's when we bonded. He was the first friend I had and the only friend I had. It wasn't easy making friends with a person who everyone thinks is a spoiled brat.
I am the daughter of James Logan, the CEO of Logan industry, a large company dedicated to finding superstars and making them famous overnight. Logan Industry was the most well known company in the world and it wasn't easy being my parent's daughter. Because of my father's success in business, it resulted in my being watched by a babysitter 24/7This caused me to have 0 friends by the time I was 6 . Until I met Jake, I never knew what friendship or love was. My parents were never home and when they were, they would throw extravagant parties and ignore me.
I was depressed and longed for a normal happy family. My older brother. Nathan, was the prize of the household. My older sister, Jessica, was a whole different story. And finally the twins, Abby and Crystal, were total aristocrats. And I was the youngest. That totaled up my family. Our house was never full of laughter like you see in t.v shows. It was basically a place where people slept and ate. Other than that, the house was always empty, except for me and the maid, Mrs. Stuart and her son, Jake.
Well, Jake was the person that changed my life. He taught me about love and kindness. He was like the only thing in life that kept me from floating away. I was taught since I was little when to speak and when not to. I never received love or affection from my family. From the time I met Jake. I was happy. Until Jake and his mother left..........

*****flashback****** 10 years ago*****
I tiptoe to the living room where my parents sat, next to Mrs.Stuart and Jake. I knew that the friendship me and Jake had was supposed to be kept a secret. Even though I was 8, I knew and tried to keep my parents views on backgrounds at a minimal level. I pressed my ear to the door and tried to listen in on the conversation. Yesterday when Jake and I were playing in the kitchen, my parents found me with Jake. I didn't want Jake to get in trouble, so I defended him and made excuses. But I only made it worse. Right now, my parents are discussing or more like arguing about what to do in this situation.  I hear footsteps and I back away from the door. I tremble and the door opens as I await for my punishment.
I got shut in my room and my parents come in. I cry at a attempt to get out of getting yelled.

" what were you thinking!!!" My father yells.

Have we not taught you anything??? We have clearly told you not to talk to poor people!!!! AND YOU STILL DID IT!!!!!!!" My mother screams.

I tremble and shake all over. I stare at the ground and tears come rolling down my cheeks.

" you are so grounded young lady. We have been strict with you but you still don't listen. Why are you even with that worthless boy anyway?? What would people think if my daughter is talking to a boy who's mother is our maid?? What a disgrace you are to the family!!" My dad screams.

" how dare you!! A lady from such a famous and wealthy household should not be hanging with a filthy ugly boy. Do you want to be kicked out of the streets?? What would people say if they saw you two together?? You are never going to survive if you be friends with such a arrogant annoying boy!!" My mom screeches

" he's not filthy or worthless!!" I argue as my face heats up with anger.
"Well how dare you!!" My mother screams and I feel a sting as I get slapped across the face. I put my hand on my face as I leave the room.

Jake and his mother left the next day and I never got to see Jake Stuart again.
