Barreling toward the huge mansion, I stumbled to the side door leading to the kitchen and quickly slipped to my room just as guests started to arrive. Whew. That was close. I shut the door and turned around to change my outfit. And sitting on my bed was no other than the twins.

"Ahh. You guys scared the living daylights out of me."

"Not our faults that you weren't in your room today." Says Crystal with a smirk.

"Yea." Piped Abby.

Trying not to roll my eyes at them, I glance at my closet. Both Abby and Crystal were a year older than me and was attending a very prestigious college in New York. As soon as classes were over, they came back to torment me and was intent on ruining my whole summer. And it was just their luck that I was out most of the day.

"Aren't you already dressed Lily?" Asked Crystal innocently.

""Yea a loser like you shouldn't have many clothes to choose from." Says Abby.

"You know what Abby. That is so true. Why don't we pick an outfit for our dear lily."

I try not to cringe at this. Yea I was the loser in this house. And images of horrible fashion statements fill my brain in an instant. There were a million possibilities. Endless supplies of what was known as a bad fashion choice. And I Lily Collins was not someone who would go out wearing something that was not in season. At least in front of so many people.

The twins whisper and giggle with each other and hurry out of the room most probably looking for the most hideous outfit to go with the most hideous shoes and jewelry. This was going to end up really bad. I already had a feeling.

Minutes later, the two of them came back with what looked like a green piece of moss. Except, moss looked better than that. Whatever it was.

"Come here Lily. We got you the most expensive and pretty outfit you could think of."

They tried to suppress their laughter and I just stared at it as they unfolded the so called "expensive" outfit. It was definitely worse than moss. It was the color of moss, but a little darker, almost an entirely different shade of green. The sleeves were cut off at the shoulder and puffy. There was what looked like hair in different parts of the dress and the end of the dress was cut at different lengths. In other words, I looked like a moss witch in it.

"Oh come on sister. What's with the sour look?" Says Abby with a sinister look on her face.

Crystal holds up what looked like a macaroni necklace with matching earrings.
"These are perfect for you."

"Ohh yes. Hurry and put it on. The guests are about to arrive."

"Do I even have a choice in this" I thought to myself.

They hand me everything with eager eyes and I take it to my closet to change.

"Wait. You forgot to take the shoes."

Abby gives me a pair of 90's looking black shoes and I retreat to my closet defeated.
