Chapter 19 : I give up

maya's pov:

I woke up and see Riley sleeping next to me. I got up and take a quick shower. I go find an outfit and I decided to wear a grey crop top with a blue cardigan and jeans with my black boots.

I go downstairs to eat some breakfast. And I see Liv eating some pancakes

"Morning" I sat down in front of her

"Morning" She replied.

My maid handed me my pancakes. And I just go on my Instagram, Twitter and Snapchat. Then, Riley came and sit in front of me.We eat our pancakes and go to school.

I was getting my books from my locker. And then I go to class. I sit on my usual seats and then Lucas came with Missy. Did I mention they were holding hands? BECAUSE THEY FUCKING DID! Out of many girls in the world, why did he choose Missy, the biggest slut in school. Why?!

It was 12:00, which means it's time for lunch. I sit down with Riley, and then Josh came and sit with us.

"Hey guys" He greeted us.

"Hey Josh" I greeted him back.

"Not to be rude, but what are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be there with Lucas and Missy?" Riley asked him.

"I'd rather be here with you guys. And plus Missy wouldn't stop talking about how pretty she is" Josh told us and we both laughed in response.

"By the way, I talk to Farkle last night" He tell us while eating his food.

"What? What did you say?" I asked really curious.

"Well, I told him to stop this bullshit. But he acted like a total asshole. And he totally freak out when he heard that he hurt you, Riles" He explained to us.

"Why did he freaked out, I mean clearly he doesn't care about me anymore"

"Because underneath it all, you're still the one he wants. He might say that he loves me, but I think we all know that he never does" I assured her.

"And you really need to talk to him" Josh added.

"What?! There's no way I'm doing that! I'm not ready, I don't think I will ever be ready!" She yelled so loud and I quickly shut her mouth with my hands.

"Would you keep it down!!" I whispered. "Okay, here's the deal, if you talk to Farkle, I promise I will talk to Lucas" I promised her.

"Fine"

We finished our lunch, I go to my locker to get my books. Then, I saw Lucas getting his stuff. I thought it would be the perfect time to talk to him.

I walk toward his lockers, but he didn't even looked at my way. It's like I'm completely invisible.

"Lucas, I really need to talk to you" I said to him, but he ignored me and walks away just like that.

"Don't worry he will talk to you soon" I turned around and see Farkle.

"No, that's it. I give up. He hates me now" I sigh. "Can I ask you something?"

"Ask me what?" He replied.

"Do you know Missy?" I asked him, and he nodded. "Is she a great girl?" I asked him again.

"Well, yeah. Sort of" He said unsure.

"Well good, because a guy like him deserve a great girl" I say as I walk away. But then I hear him say "So you're just going to give up?"

"Yes"
