Chapter 39 : Back to normal

Maya's pov:

"Nooo!" Sofia whined. "Officer, I don't think I was speeding, but if I was there is a very good reason, I've had a-" She stopped when she looked at his eyes.

"Yeah, driving without a license is illegal" He said while showing her license.

"Okay seriously, you really need to take a night off" She said.

"It's a great idea. How about Saturday?" He asked her.

"Umm.. Yeah, Saturday, Saturday's work" She stuttered a bit.

"Alright cut!" The director yells. "Great job guys, that's all for today!"

Once the director said 'cut', I started walking to my dressing room, until I heard someone called me. I turned around and saw Kevin and Sofia walking towards me.

"Hey Maya, me and Kevin are gonna hang out. Wanna come?" Sofia asked.

"Yeah sure, that sounds great" I replied.

"Actually, I just want to chill. Can we just like lay in bed and talk?" Kevin asked.

"Sure, we could go to my place" I suggested.

"Okay, let's go"

We all go to our dressing room to get all of our stuff and to change back to our clothes. I left the clothes on the vanity and then walked outside. I saw Sofia and Kevin are waiting for me at the car.

"Ready?" She asked.

"Yeah" I replied.

We got in the car and once Kevin turned it on, the music starts blaring until he turned it down.

While listening to 'Let it all go' by Birdy, I keep thinking about Lucas. Is it bad? I mean I love him and letting him go seems really scary. Because it means that I will loose him forever, and I can't even take a day without thinking about him.

"Do you do that a lot?" Kevin asked, taking me out of my thoughts.

"Do what?"

"Get lost in your thoughts. It's the second time you've done that already" He said smiling at me before looking back at the road.

"Yeah Maya, are you okay?" Sofia said, worried. "It's that Lucas guy, isn't it?"

"I don't know. I just-" I stopped and let out a sigh.

"You know what? Fuck that dude! You deserve better" He said, still focused on the road.

Sofia's pov:

We walked into Maya's house and I was so stunned. Maya's house was like a mansion! On the outside, it looked like a normal house, but in the inside, wow!

We walked in and saw Liv watching 'Pretty Little Liars'

"Oh my god Liv!" I squealed.

"Sofia!" She stood up and hugged me so tight.

"Oh my god, It's been too long! I can't wait for Descendents 2!"

"Yeah me too" I say as I let go of the hug.

"Hey Liv, why don't you come join us?" Maya offered her.

"Sure"

We all headed to Maya's room, and then everyone threw themselves to Maya's bed and start talking about random stuff.

"So what's going on between you and Peyton List?" I asked, smirking at Kevin.

"What do you mean? There's nothing going on between us" He said as his cheeks stared to turn red.

Suddenly, a girl came barging in, looking really exhausted. Her hair is in a messy bun and she's wearing a sweatpants with a tank top.

"Maya, you gotta help me. My sweet 16 is in a week and I still don't know what the theme is, and where do I wanna celebrate it, but I already order a cake tho" She stopped talking when she see me and Kevin.

"Oh my god! I am so sorry! I didn't know you were here! I'm so sorry for disturbing you guys!" She said in horror.

"Riley calm down, you weren't disturbing anything. Me, Sofia, Kevin and Liv were just hanging out" Maya said, chuckling a little bit.

"Yeah, don't worry. Why don't we help you with your birthday party" I said, smiling as she sit down next to me.

"So what kind of things that you like?" I asked her.

"I like pluto!" She said, smiling all goofy.

"Is she for real?" Kevin said, raising an eyebrow. "You do know that pluto isn't a planet anymore right?"

"I wouldn't do that if I were you" Maya said.

"Excuse me, but I don't care what you say mister, pluto IS a planet you dumb ass!" Riley yelled.

"Okay, I'm just gonna sit here and stop talking"

"Alright so what other things that you like beside pluto?" I asked her again.

"I like princesses!" She smiled widely.

"Alright, so I think that the theme should be like a ball or something" I suggested.

"Oh my god, that's a great idea! I'm gonna start planning all of it! Byeeee!" She said as she walked out the room.
