Chapter 15 : The break up

maya's pov:

I was on my locker. Putting my books, pencils and notebooks. Then, I slowly shrug my sweatshirt off and stuff it on my locker. I checked my schedule and I have English right now. I close my locker and I saw Riley on her locker. I just remembered that she left her shirt in my house when she spends the night.

"Hey Riles" I greeted her.

"What do you want" She said. Sounded really annoyed and mad.

"what's wrong?" I asks her, really concerned.

"You're what's wrong"

"What?"

I was really confuse until she gives me a magazine with me and Farkle kissing as the cover.

"Riles, I swear-"

"Don't ever talk to me again" She slams he locker and walks away.

Fuck.

Then Lucas walk pass by me. But he don't even look at me. It's like I don't exist. God, I screwed up.

I go to class and sit on my usual seats. Lucas came and sit behind me. Then, he tap my shoulder and I turned around.

"We're done" He tells me.

"what?" A tear fell down my cheeks.

"I'm sorry Maya, it's over" He said again.

Then, Mr. Matthews came in and start talking about the secret of life. The bell rings and we got out of class.

"Lucas! Riley! please just listen to me" I begged them.

"Maya, stop" Lucas sighed.

"Please just trust me! I didn't kiss Farkle!"

"Maya, stop lying!" Riley said, basically yelling.

"Riley, Trust me! I thought you were my best friend"

"That's what I thought, until you kissed my boyfriend" She snapped. Then Farkle suddenly came and stand next to me.

"I didn't kiss him! Farkle, tell them!" I tell him.

"Tell them what maya? That we kissed? you said it was magical" He lied, which makes me hate him.

"Fuck you" I say as I walk away.

I decided to skip school today. I went home and cry. I didn't thought that it would be like this. I really don't know what to do.

Then, I heard a knock and it's Liv. She brought a tissue and an ice cream. She's so nice.

"Hey Maya, I heard you crying. So I brought an Ice cream and tissues. And if you needed a friend, you know I'm here" She smiled

"Thanks Liv. I really don't know what to do. Lucas and Riley won't listen to me and Farkle's being such an asshole" I cried harder

"Maya, I'm really sorry" She hugged me. "But trust me, the truth always find a way to come out" She get out of my room.

I decided to clear my head and take a walk. I walk around the park and see couples kissing, holding hands. God, I wish that was me and Lucas. Then, I sit on a wooden bench. Then, a boy with dark hair sit next to me.

"I heard what happened between you and Lucas" he said, breaking the silence.

"Yeah? you must've hate me" I sighed.

"No, I don't. Maya, I know you're not like that. And I see the way you look at Lucas. You love him. And I promise you, everything's gonna be alright" He assured me.

"Thanks Josh" I smiled.

"Now quit crying. Let's go get some ice cream" he grab my hand and we get some ice cream. I got chocolate and he got vanillas.

"So Farkle thinks that you only date Lucas to make him jealous?" He asked and I nodded. "God he's so stupid" He said and I laugh

"Let's not talk about it and do something fun" I suggested.

"sure, I've got the perfect place" He smirked.

We're driving to a place. I don't know where, but Josh said that it would be fun and cool.

We finally arrived at the place, I think. And it's freezing out here. I don't know why he take me here. But let's just hope that I don't freeze to death.

"Josh, what are we doing here? it's freezing" We were walking around the place.

"You're in for the night of your life Maya Penelope Hart" I make a disgust face at the use of my middle name. "And here" he takes of his jacket and wraps it around me.

"We're here!" We're at a high mountain and we could see LA from up here. It's really beautiful.

"Wow, it's so beautiful" I sit down on a rock admiring the city.

"Yeah, it is" He sat down next to me.

"Look how bright everything is" I couldn't help the big smile on my face

"Yeah but you shine brighter" He stared into my eyes.

"Why are you staring at me like that?" I asked

"Because you're beautiful" He says causing my heart to stop. "Don't ever forget that"

"really?"

"Yeah" He smiled at me. "It's getting late, we should probably go back home"

He drives me home and then he walked up into my front door

"Hey, thanks for today I had a lot of fun" I said

"Yeah, I had a lot of fun too" he smiled at me while I smiled back. I waved at him, I stepped inside my house
