Chapter 45 : New boyfriend?

Maya's pov:

Today, me and Kevin are going on a date. I don't know where we're going he said that it's a surprise, so I guess I'll just wear something casual.

I pulled out a plain white tank top that was sort of see through and a jean jacket. I got my black Vans. I put the stuff on and started doing my makeup. After that I go straight my hair. I got my phone and my wallet then put it in my purse. I put the purse on and walked out of the room. I went downstairs and saw Mom and Liv eating breakfast.

"Morning" I said and Liv yawned.

"Where are you going this time?" Mom asked.

"I'm going on a date" I replied.

"With Lucas?" Liv asked.

"No, with Kevin" I awkwardly tell them.

"Oh okay, do you want breakfast?" Mom said, trying to change the conversation.

"No I'm good. Kevin's going to be here in a minute" I said and took a piece of bacon and a granola bar before walking towards the door.

I walked to the door and I was about to open it, but the door opened itself, revealing it to be Kevin.

"You ready?" He asked and I nodded.

Kevin led me to his car and he opened the door for me, acting like a gentleman.

"Thank you" I muttered. We both got into the car and Kevin turns on the engine and then he drove off while turning on the radio.

"Where are we going?" I asked him as he smiles at me.

"Do you really want to know?" He smirked.

"Um.. Yeah" I said in a 'duh' tone.

"Alright we're going to ride a hot air balloon"

"Oh my god really?!" I said happily.

"Yeah, you excited?" He smiled at me.

"Heck yeah! Oh my god thank you! thank you! thank you!" I said cheerfully and hugged him from the side, but he keep his eyes focused on the road.

He changed the song on the radio, and I heard something familiar. Oh my god! It's my song! 'Right Now'.

"Oh my god! Why are you playing this song?" I asked him, smiling widely.

"I love this song" He chuckled.

"Oh c'mon you don't have to lie to me. The 'Catch up' part literally sounds like I said 'Ketchup'" I said, rolling my eyes.

"Oh yeah! I didn't realized it until now. But whatever, I think it's a great song! I really like it" He said as he started to sing the song.

"Oh c'mon sing with me" He said as I rolled my eyes and decided to sing to.

We finally arrived at the hot air balloon place. We walked over to the counter, and the worker showed us the balloon for us.

"Ready to fly?" Kevin asked playfully.

"Hell yeah!" I replied cheerfully.

We got inside the hot air balloon, and Kevin controlled the heat and we started to rise. Kevin turned the heat up a little bit, and we got a little bit higher. Well not a little bit, I mean you could see LA from up here.

"Wow" I said, admiring the city. "Look! You could see the Hollywood sign!" I said pointing at the Hollywood sign.

"Yeah I never realized how amazing this city is"

"Yeah, and it's really sad that some people couldn't see how beautiful the world is" I said, biting my lips.

"Well I'm glad I could see how beautiful you are" He smiled at me as my cheeks started to heat up and turned red.

"Look! They're having a carnival over there! Wanna go?" Kevin suggested.

"Yeah, sure"

Kevin to turned the heat down and we started to go lower. As we touched the ground, we got off the balloon and walked to the car. We got in and Kevin start driving to the carnival.

We lined up behind the crowded line and waited our turn ahead. As we were waiting, we decided to play a game called Never have I ever.

"Alright my turn. Never have I ever been arrested" I asked as he put one of his fingers down. "What?! What happened?!"

"I was a bad ass" He said, making a peace sign. "All that you need to know"

"Alright, never have I ever accidentally kissed someone" He asked and he put his finger down again.

"What?! How do you accidentally kissed someone?" I asked, confused.

"I don't know, it was an accident" He shrugged.

We've been playing this game for almost half an hour, until we get into the ferris wheel.

"Hey Kev, thanks for today, I really have a lot of fun" I smiled.

"No problem, I had a lot of fun too" He smiled back.
