Chapter 56 : 5 months later

Maya's pov:

I woke up in my bed, just like any other day, well actually today is my birthday. But I don't want to celebrate it without Lucas. So I'm probably going to spent my birthday in his grave, and talk to him even tho he probably can't hear me.

I jumped out of my bed and showered . I wore a simple outfit. Just a shirt and my sweatpants. I walked out of my room quietly. Knowing Liv, she still wouldn't be up yet. I look up and saw what I didn't expect. The whole house was covered by balloons.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" People shouted. I walked towards the sound and saw Josh, mom, Victoria, Liv, Kevin, Sofia, Riley and Farkle.

"Thank you" I said to them. "You know you didn't have to do this"

"We want to" Josh said back.

"Before you open your presents, let's eat breakfast" Mom said

"Thank God, I'm starving" Riley said which makes us chuckled and we all walked over the dining room.

After we ate, Victoria took out a chocolate cake. The cake was totally full of chocolat, yum! On it said, Happy Birthday Maya. Everyone sang the happy birthday song. I make a wish first before I blow  the candles.

'I wish that I could see Lucas one more time'

I blew all the candles and everybody clapped. I cut the cake and gave everyone a slice of the cake.

"Time to open your presents!" Riley said.

I opened my mom's present first. It was a beautiful pink dress. It was a bit tight on the upper part but the rest flowed right down when I tried it.

"You look beautiful" Josh said and I looked down so that nobody could see me blush.

"Mine next!" Riley said in excitement as she pointed to a box wrapped in a purple color wrapper.

I opened the rest of the presents that everyone got me. Riley gave me a yellow dress, Liv got me a blush ballerina heels, Josh got me a locket with a picture of me and him inside, Farkle got me a book it's called '#Girlboss', Sofia got me a cute small black backpack, and Kevin got me the rose gold beats.

"Hey, let's go do something! Maybe go to Disneyland or Magic Mountain!" Josh said with excitement.

"Yeah!" Everyone said, really excited.

"You guys go ahead, I think I'm just gonna stay home" I tell them.

"But Maya, it's your birthday" Riley said.

"Nah.. I'm not in the mood" I tell them.

"Oh c'mon Maya, it's Disneyland" Farkle begged me to come.

"I said I'm not in the mood okay?!" I said, basically yelling at them, and quickly walked over to my room.

I saw a picture of me and Lucas on my nightstand. I grab it and I broke down in tears. I had to cry to let out all that anger against myself.

"I'm not going anywhere until you come back, you hear me?" I said to Lucas, even tho he probably can't hear me.

"I'm always here Maya" I heard someone said. I looked up and saw Lucas standing there, in front of me.
