Maya's pov:
We walked inside, surprised at what we saw. There was this beautiful chandelier. There was food across the whole part of one wall and tables on the other. And the DJ was sick! His beats are amazing! It was simply beautiful. I looked at Riley and she looked so happy.
"Let's get this party started!"

It's 6:34 and a lot of people already came. Everyone looks so beautiful in their dress. Right now all of the girls are taking photos in the photo booth, but I'm just standing here and eat all of the puddings. Until something caught my eyes. I see Lucas Friar.
Shit
I quickly run away before he sees me. I ran to the photo booth and take some pictures with Riley, Sofia and Liv.
After that, we all gathered around to sing happy birthday for Riley. Everyone was clapping and singing but my eyes only focused on Lucas. He noticed me staring at him, so I quickly looked away. Riley makes a wish and blow the candles. The first cake was for her mom, her second cake was for her dad, and her third one was for me!!
The DJ starts playing some dance music and everyone starts to dance. I make my way to the punch, pouring myself a cup.
"Hey" Kevin says from behind me and I jump.
"Hey"
"Wanna dance?" Kevin asks.
"Sure" I say setting my cup down on the snack table, letting him lead me to the makeshift dance floor.
I dance with Kevin, breaking a sweat before a slow song comes on. Kevin looks awkward for a moment and then he wraps his arms around my waist and I put mine around his neck.
"Hey I would really love to stay, but I gotta do something" I tell him.
"Okay" He says releasing me as I ran off to the back stage.
I ran away to the back stage and make sure that everything's ready. I was going to sing a song I made about my friendship with Riley called 'Seamless'. I'm so nervous to perform in front of Lucas tonight, but this has nothing to do with him. This is all for Riley.
I walked to the stage and tell the DJ to stop the music.
"Hey guys! I hope that you are all having a wonderful time tonight" I said which made them respond with a huge batch of screams.
"I'm just here to say happy birthday Riles, and this is for you" I said as I started playing the guitar.
Good morning, you're leaving

Lucas's pov:
When Maya sings, I couldn't help but stare. She's amazing. She's really talented. And tonight she looked incredibly beautiful. I wish I could be with her tonight.
"You're staring Lucas" I heard a familiar voice said. I turned around to see Josh sitting on one of the chairs.
"Yeah, if you keep giving Maya that look, your eyeballs are going to fall" Farkle teased, giggling to himself.
"Dude, if you want her so bad, why don't you just go get her?" Josh asked.
"Really? After what she did to me?" I raised my eyebrow.
"Look, I know what she did was bad, but look at it this way, the only reason why you fall for Sabrina, is because you're still in love with Maya" Josh simply said.
"You're right" I sighed.
"Yes, I am. Now let's go get your girl!" Josh said.

Maya sang the last part and Riley ran into the stage to hug her. They both let go of each other and then they walked back stage.
"C'mon let's go" Josh said as he pulled me to the back stage.
We both walked to the back stage and just when I was about to call Maya, a guy with a light brown hair and blue eyes came up to her.
"Hey Maya" The guy greeted Maya.
"Hey Kev, what's up?"
"I just wrote a song and I really want you to hear it" He said to Maya.
"Okay" She smiled at him.
There's a song stuck in my head
But all the words just go unsaid.
So here I am with all my courage

"We're leaving" I sighed.
"Why?"
"Got here too late" I said looking at the ground.

"I'd love to go on a date with you Kevin!" I heard Maya said as she hugged him.
I stood there, completely shocked. I can't believe that I'm too late.
"Yup, she's gone" I said walking away as Josh followed.
