"Mamrie? I think I'm losing my mind..." Grace sobbed into the phone.
"I'll be there in five minutes Smells."
When Grace woke up in Hannah's arms, she'd freaked out. She left before Hannah or Alex could wake up, she didn't even leave a note.
Why had she gone back to Hannah's? For Alex? No, she went to Hannah's bed, not the child's. But why?
"Grace?" Mamrie found her crying on the couch, "Grace, what happened?"
"I don't know!" Grace cried, "I don't know anymore Mames."
Mamrie gathered the brunette in her arms, "I'm here for you Gracie. It's gonna be fine."
"It's Hannah..."
"Did something happen to her?" Mamrie questioned.
"No, it's just she... and then there's Alex..." Grace sighed.
"What do you mean?" You don't think Hannah would forget about us, do you? 'Cause I'm pretty unforgettable." Mamrie joked.
"No it's not that. I just never really realized how amazing she is," Grace wiped the tears of her face, "Like, I know she does all these cool amazing things, but actually seeing her hold that little girl, it just does things to me..."
The redhead was shocked, "Grace? Are you saying that Mommy Hannah turns you on?"
"No!" Grace protested, "Mommy Hannah is just so so adorable." She added with a soft smile.
"Are we really having this conversation right now?" Mamrie was confused, "Are you falling for Hannah?"
"No... I don't know..." Grace mumbled.
"Grace!"
"I know, okay! It's the worst possible moment! She's raising a kid for fuck's sakes! And I'm straight! I should not be feeling like this!" Grace teared up.
Mamrie quickly gathered the other woman in her arms, "It's fine Smells. It's just a completely new side of Hannah that we've never seen before. You're just confused."
Grace nodded, relishing in the warmth of Mamrie's embrace. Maybe she was just confused.

Hannah felt like shit when she found out Grace had ran. How could she be so stupid? You don't just spoon your best friend for an entire night and not expect any consequences.
Grace is straight for fuck's sakes! Ugh! What was she thinking?
But then again, it was Grace who'd crawled in her bed, and it was Grace who wanted to hold her.
But why?
This was the kind of thinking that could drive her insane. So Hannah shut the thoughts down, before she did something stupid. Grace was probably just having a bad day.

Hannah and Grace sat on a bench, watching Goose and Alex play. The park was very quiet, so Grace thought it would be safe to let the dog off leash.
"You know, it really surprises me how gentle Goose is with her," Hannah noted.
Grace nodded, "I was kinda nervous to have her around Alex."
"Hey Hannah!" Hannah looked up to see Marc walk over.
"Hi Marc!" She greeted the man, "Grace, this is my park-buddy Marc, Marc this is my best friend Grace."
"Hello," Marc greeted Grace. Hannah immediately decided she didn't like the way the guy looked at Grace. He sat down on the bench next to Grace, even though there was significantly more space next to Hannah.
"Hey," Grace smiled.
"I thought you only had Riley on the weekends?" Hannah asked, "It's Wednesday today, right?"
"Yeah, but my ex is a bit sick, so I'm looking after him." Marc smiled, "What about you Grace? Are you here with your kid?"
Grace laughed at the thought, "Oh God no! I'm just tagging along with Goose, my dog." She pointed at the spot where Alex and Goose sat in the shade.
"She's a beautiful dog," Marc said, and Hannah could practically see the 'just like her owner' attached.
Nonchalantly, she draped her arm around Grace's shoulder. That's perfectly acceptable with friends, right?
"Uh, what do you do for a living Grace?" Marc asked, trying to sound as casual as possible, but failing miserable in Hannah's eyes.
Seriously, they are in a park for kids! Does that guy have no shame?
"I vlog, just like Hannah."
"Oh, that's so cool," He marveled, "I should watch your video's sometime, I bet they're really good."
Ugh!
"Thank you," Grace answered politely. Too politely. Hannah recognized that voice, it was the 'help me, I'm uncomfortable and I need to get away'-voice.
Hannah instinctively pulled Grace a little closer, away from Marc.
Alex came to save the day. She ran to Hannah, closely followed by Goose.
"Hi Alex!" Marc greeted. He reached his hand out to the child, but Goose stepped in between, softly growling at the man.
"Goose! Down!" Grace chided, "I'm sorry Marc, she's very protective of Alex."
Marc shrugged it off.
"What do you need sweetheart?" Hannah asked Alex gently.
Alex pointed to the swing set.
"Oh, that looks like a lot of fun!" Hannah agreed smiling, "Maybe Grace can push you this time? She's waaaaay stronger than me."
"Oh yeah!" Grace happily took the opportunity, "I'll push you."
Hannah watched as Grace and Alex took of toward the swings.
"So..." Marc began awkwardly, "Grace seems like a lot of fun..."
Hannah almost rolled her eyes, "She is, very intelligent too."
"Is she... single?"
Hannah didn't know why she did it, maybe it was the way Marc was staring holes into Grace, maybe it was just friendly protectiveness, but she lied, "No, she's seeing someone."
"Oh," Marc looked down, disappointed, "That's too bad."
Hannah could only nod, her eyes still on Grace and Alex. She loved seeing them both like this, Alex smiling wide, kicking her legs trying to get higher, and Grace, smiling as well, gently pushing the swing, in hopes that Alex wouldn't fly too high. It seemed like a picture perfect family.
Hannah snapped herself out of her thoughts abruptly. Grace was not a part of her family, nor would she ever be. She's just a friend!
She spent the rest of their trip making small talk with Marc, watching her child and her best friend play together.
