New challenge (Part 32)

Big announcement

Hannah had set everything up. Then checked it. Then double-checked it.
She'd asked Grace to let her do it alone, she'd asked Grace to come back because she couldn't do it alone, she'd asked Grace to stand behind the camera because she should do it alone.
Her hands smoothed down her hair, and her shirt.
Grace smiled at her, gave her a thumbs up. Hannah nodded nervously, and the brunette started the camera.
"Hello," Hannah muttered into the lens, "It's uh, it's been a while. Thank you all for sticking around and being patient with me. I, uh, I have big news for you guys. Very exciting." Hannah heaved a sigh, "Grace, I can't do this. I'm too nervous."
Grace paused the camera and walked over to stand behind Hannah.
"You can do this baby." She told her, rubbing her shoulders to ease the blonde's tension, "I know you can."
"I just don't want the most amazing thing in my life being seen as a promotional stunt." Hannah muttered.
"Our life." Grace said.
"What?"
"You said my life. But Alex is the most amazing thing in our life." Grace smiled.
Hannah grinned, letting her head fall back against Grace's stomach.
"How am I going to do this Grace?"
"Mommy look!" Alex skipped into the room, completely oblivious to the conversation she'd just interrupted, "I made a picture."
"Let me see." Hannah hoisted the girl on her lap and took the drawing, "Is that you and Goose?"
Alex nodded.
"That's very pretty sweetheart." Hannah smiled, kissing the top of Alex's head.
Grace grinned, "You should do it like this."
"Do what?"
"The video. You should do it with Alex."
Hannah looked pensive, "I don't know Grace."
"She's going to end up in a video or a photo eventually baby." Grace said, trying to ease Hannah's mind.
"But what if she calls you mama? While filming?"
"Would that matter?" Grace smiled, "We can edit it out if you're not okay with that, but I am."
"Really?" Hannah was surprised.
"Yeah, it's one of the best things I've ever been called."
Hannah smiled, "What's the best?"
"You calling me baby."
"Suck up." Hannah smirked.
"You love it." The brunette winked.
"I do." Hannah smiled, "And I love calling you baby."
"Mama is not a baby." Alex interrupted confused.
Hannah snorted, "She's not? What is she then?"
"A mama." Alex replied as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.
"Oh of course, silly me." Hannah joked, "Alex, do you maybe want to help me with work today?"
"Okay."
"We need to make a video to tell all my internet friends about you." Hannah told her, "But we can't do it like this."
"No?" The little girl wondered.
"No we're gonna need...." Hannah paused for dramatic effect, "our carrot oooooooonesies!"
Alex threw her fists up in the air in excitement.
"Okay, mama can you help Alex, while I get changed?" Hannah asked Grace.
"Of course mommy." Grace smiled.

"Hello!" Hannah popped into the screen, the hood of her carrot onesie pulled over her eyes.
"Soooo, I'm announcing something big today, hence the onesie." Hannah smiled big into the camera, "These past few weeks have been a bit crazy. And I would like you all to know what's going on in my life, and in my house."
Hannah grinned widely, "I met someone. I met someone who has turned my world upside-down, someone who made me change everything I am. Someone who I want to be a better person for. I love her a lot, more than I ever thought I could love anyone."
The blonde takes a deep breath, "So over these past few weeks, she's moved in, which is why I didn't make any videos. Things were too hectic, and you know, new and fun. But last week, we kinda made our bond official, like for the law."
Hannah smirked to herself, knowing that those words just made Tumblr explode.
"And I would like you all to meet the girl that completely stole my heart." Hannah turned to her left and opened her arms, "Come here sweetie."
Grace almost snorted, she was sure that every fangirl in the world would be squealing at this point.
Alex jumped up in her own carrot onesie, catapulting herself into Hannah's arms, "Hello!" the girl smiled brightly.
Hannah gave her a second to settle on her lap, before smirking at the camera.
"I got you soooooo good!" she giggled, "But in all honesty, everything I said is true. This is Alessandra."
"Oh!" Alex exclaimed, pointing at the camera.
"Yeah, you can see yourself on the little screen, cool huh?" Hannah smiled.
"Anyways," the woman got back on track, "I became Alessandra's legal guardian over the break, she's living here now, forever. I get to take care of her. So guys, meet my adorable baby carrot."
Hannah wrapped her arms a little tighter around the girl, kissing the top of her head.
"You want to say something to my friends?" Hannah asked.
Alex shook her head, suddenly shy.
Hannah couldn't help but smile fondly at the cutest child in the world.
"Now, don't freak out guys," She addressed the camera again, "I will still shoot my kitchens, everything will really remain the same for the channel. But I just had to share this personal thing with you all."
"You wanna say bye?" She asked Alex, "We say bye and throw a kissie."
"Bye!" Alex yelled, sloppily throwing a kiss at the camera.
"Bye!" Hannah repeated to the camera, "I love you!"
"I love you too mommy!"
