New challange (Part 22)

"STUPID! That's all you ever fucking will be! Stupid!" The man screamed.
"I wish I had never had you! Worthless!" the man's voice faded into Hannah's, "I hate you! Do you actually believe that anyone could ever love YOU?!"
Hannah towered over her, smirk firmly in place, "Nobody loves you! You're a pest!"
She woke up drenched in sweat. She listened for the telltale sounds of footsteps down the hall, but they didn't come. She didn't scream in her sleep. This time.
Alex got up, there was no way she could go back to sleep now. Exploring the house seemed like a good idea.
First stop, Hannah's bedroom. The woman was still fast asleep, but she wasn't alone. Alex recognized Grace's brown hair. Apparently, Hannah liked sleepovers.
She ventured to the office next. She was not really supposed to be in here. It wasn't forbidden, but Hannah kept all her expensive stuff here. Alex just figured Hannah wouldn't want her hanging around here.
Hannah loved her work, this office was important to her. But Alex knew that Hannah wasn't working now, because of her.
"What are you doing up?" a soft voice croaked behind her. It was Grace, not Hannah, who had woken up and decided to check on her.
Alex shrugged.
"Sweetie, your pj's are soaked," Grace noticed, "Come on, let's get you changed."
The girl followed Grace back to her bedroom.
"Why am I here?" Alex asked suddenly when Grace was changing her.
"Uh.. because you're not in bed?"
"No, why am I with Hannie?"
Grace thought for a second, "Because Hannie likes you very much."
"Is that why you are here?"
"Uh, yeah, I guess..." Grace shrugged, feeling a bit uncomfortable.
"Then why do you go sometimes?" Alex asked.
"Because I have my own house."
"Why?"
"Jeeezes kid," Grace chuckled, "Because, okay? Do you want to go back to bed now?"
"No please." Alex said politely.
"Do you want to come sleep with us?"
"Yesss." Alex held her arms up so Grace could pick her up.
"We've spoiled you too much..." Grace muttered, hoisting the girl in the air.
She carried Alex to Hannah's bedroom, only to discover that Hannah had moved in her sleep and was now hogging the entire bed.
Grace laughed, moving to the side of the bed and slapping Hannah's butt, "Move it midget! We want in."
Hannah groaned loudly, lifting her head, "What?"
"Move over, Hannah. You're taking up all the space." Grace repeated.
"Yeah! Midget!" Alex yelled laughing.
The blonde groaned again, "Could you please not teach my kid to bully me." she rolled over to her side of the bed, "Come here."
Alex jumped on the bed, settling in Hannah's arms.
"Lunatics," Grace smiled, settling down on her own side.
"I think Gracie is jealous," Hannah fake-whispered, "I think she wants some cuddles too."
The little girl giggled, before launching herself on top of Grace.
"You little cuddlebug," Grace mumbled affectionately, wrapping her arms tightly around the small child.
Their night was spend with cuddles and tickles, until Alex eventually fell asleep between the two women.
"She was asking a lot of questions earlier," Grace whispered, running her hand through the girl's hair.
"What'd she ask?" Hannah mumbled, falling asleep herself.
"She asked why I go home, why I don't just stay here."
Hannah's eyes opened, "She's asked me that too, a couple days ago."
"Yeah? What did you say?"
"I told her you had your own house," Hannah whispered, "I don't think she truly understood though."
"I told her the same thing. She thinks that because we like each other I should stay here."
Hannah sighed, "I don't know how I can explain it to her."
"Does she think Mamrie should live here?"
"No, but Auntie Mames doesn't stay over, Grace. You know that." Hannah said softly, stroking Alex's cheek.
"You don't ask Auntie Mames to stay over." Grace countered easily.
Hannah sighed, "Auntie Mames wouldn't want to stay over."
"I'm not Auntie Mames though." Grace whispered.
"You're not Auntie Mames," Hannah agreed, "Do you want to be Auntie Mames?"
Grace thought about for a second, "No, I don't want to be Auntie. I want to be Gracie."
