"I think people know," I whispered into Alexa's ear. "I've been getting weird looks since that interview a few weeks ago."

"But who would remember what car you drive? If you didn't notice, people usually don't pay attention to us."

"Still," I muttered. We were walking down the hallway to the cafeteria. "I'm surprised people are still talking about it."

"Can you blame them? It's Justin Bieber!" Alexa said, a little too loudly. I hushed her quickly, looking around to make sure no one heard.

"Do you know that he called my grandparents?! He traced the license plate back to them. Thank God."

"Oh my God," She said. "He was so close!"

I rolled my eyes.

We got our food and sat down. I confessed everything to my parents and sister and they seemed to understand. I was only grounded for two weeks.

"Hey guys, check out the new girl," Grace pointed to a girl at a table.

"Aw, she's all by herself," Ivy whimpered.

"Invite her over here," Angela pushed.

"Let's go over there instead," I got up and made my way over to her without warning.

"Hey," I said to her as I sat down.

"Hi!" She looked up at me, smiling warmly. She had bright blue eyes and long, straight red hair. Her face was sprinkled with freckles. She seemed friendly. "I love your outfit!"

"Thanks!" I replied. Since it was October and getting cold, I was wearing galaxy leggings, black combat boots, and an oversized black mesh sweatshirt with a black tank top underneath. My hair was regularly out, keeping my ears mildly warm.

I heard footsteps behind me and turned around to see my friends approaching us. They all smiled at the new girl and sat around her.

"I'm Katie," I introduced myself to her.

"I'm Kim," she said shyly.

"That's a pretty name. They are my friends: Alexa, Angela, Ivy, and Grace," I pointed to them as I spoke, each of them making a friendly gesture. "Where did you move here from?"

"Stratford," She replied.

"That's co-" I started before I was swiftly interrupted.

"THAT'S WHERE JUSTIN BIEBER LIVES!" Angela squealed, cutting me off. Did she really have to mention him?

Kim chuckled. "Yeah. We are actually friends."

Everyone, including me, dropped their jaws in shock.

Kim was laughing now. We continued to stare at her.

"Wow. FYI, there are many beliebers in this school. I'd advise you not to go around telling people that," I winked at her.

She nodded. "Yeah, I've noticed. Everyone's buzzing about the mystery girl that saved his life. She'll be the luckiest girl in the world when he finds her. He's always talking to me about her."

Everyone, except Kim, turned to me with wide eyes. I felt myself blush a deep shade of scarlet.

"What?" Kim looked around at everyone, clearly lost.

"Nothing," I said, diverting my eyes somewhere else.

"Come on! I told you my secret, now you tell me yours!" She pressed. If possible, I blushed even more. I gave Alexa an alarmed look. She exchanged a look of sympathy.
