5% battery. I was temped to throw my phone onto the cement, but I knew I wouldn't be getting a new one. All these streets are so foreign. I felt like I was never going to find my way out. My eyes were probably bloodshot, my head was pounding, my arm stung and my feet were aching. I also periodically felt a piercing pain coming from the ankle that the Creep twisted. To make matters worse, Meredith was expecting me home by 11:30 PM, and now it's almost 3 AM. I wonder if she was the one who called the police.

I was having second thoughts about running away from the scene. I should've stayed and had the cops drive me home. They might have even driven me to jail, assuming the boy and I killed someone innocent. I felt guilty for leaving that poor boy alone. I should've gone down with him. How did he get himself into that mess anyway? Nevertheless, it was too late to turn back now.

"You look like you're lost," I jumped at the sudden voice, before slowly turning around.

It was a woman who looked to be in her mid to late thirties. She had piercing blue eyes and jet black hair. Her face was full of concern. I didn't say anything; I just stared back at her, dumbfounded

"What are you doing out here so late?" She asked, realizing I wouldn't say anything.

"I could ask the same to you," I replied, not meaning for it to come out hoarse.

"Do you need a ride, sweet-"

"Yes, I really do," I cut her off.

She looked a little surprised. She opened the door for me to her car and I hopped in. I immediately put my elbow up and rested my head in my palm. I told her my address and we were off. Without realizing it, I slowly drifted to sleep.

"Sweetie? Hello? Wake up, dear," I felt someone slowly shaking me awake.

"Mom?" I asked hesitantly.

She chuckled. "I'm afraid not. If I was, I wouldn't let you go wandering in the streets at 3 AM. You're home."

I perked up and looked around. Hallejuah!

"Oh my God, thank you so much!" I almost hugged her until I realized how dirty I was. She noticed this and pulled away as well.

"No problem," She smiled warmly. Whoever this woman was, I really liked her.

I quickly got out my wallet, pulled out my $50 and handed it to her. She looked alarmed and pushed my hand away.

"Oh I can't accept that! You don't owe me anything; I wanted to do this."

Deciding not to fight her on this, I nodded and got out of the car, wobbling a little. I closed the door and waved her goodbye. I felt dizzy as I walked across my lawn.

'Make it to the bed. Make it to the bed,' I kept telling myself. So much for that. In one quick motion, I stumbled and collapsed on the ground with a hard thud.

"Pancakes sis!" I heard Meredith call out.

I slowly opened my eyes, adjusting my eyesight. I was in my bed. Did I make it after all? I looked under my blankets to see I was wearing a large white t-shirt. I was wearing an ankle brace and my arm had a large band-aid on it. I was also squeaky clean. My fingers found their way to the back of my head; no more blood. I looked to my right and found my purse on my nightstand. Now I'm positive I didn't do it.

I gradually got out of bed and limped over to my closet, noticing that what I was wearing last night was in the hamper. I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. When I got to my closet, I pulled out my lazy-day sweatpants and my ugg slippers. I didn't want to take the foriegn t-shirt off though. It smelled like heaven. My arm ached, so I just left my hair a mess and made my way down the stairs to the delightful smell of pancakes.

"Thanks for cleaning me up sis," I said, putting a few pancakes on my plate. "Pass the maple syrup."

She furrowed her eyebrows, but she obeyed. "Thanks for what now?"

"You didn't clean me up last night?"

"What the hell are you talking about? This is the first time I've seen you since I shooed you away at the concert last night. What have you been doing?"

"I-nevermind," I said, taking a bite of my pancake. If she didn't do it, then who...

The woman from last night! I must have actually fainted last night and she brought me inside. I'm also clean, which means that she saw me naked! A woman I barely know, but I wish I did.

Then, paranoid thoughts began making their way into my brain. What if she stole something? What if she took pictures of me and posted them online? Another part of me believed she was just an angel who helped me during the hell I went through last night.

"I'm gonna.. go.." I finished my last pancake. I put my plate in the sink and quickly walked up the stairs. I hurried into my bedroom and closed the door.

I pressed my back against the door, shutting my eyes. Thoughts were swarming my head like bees around a hive. I opened my eyes to look around the room. Everything that I could see was still there. How'd she know it was my room anyway? Is she like my own personal stalker that follows me everywhere? Or is she my guardian angel?

My thoughts were interrupted when I heard my phone go off in my purse. Crap! It still needs to be charged.

I plugged my phone in and answered it on the last ring.

"Hello?" My voice cracked.

"GURRRRRRRRRRL!"

Oh Jesus.

"That. Concert. Was. Freaking. Sick!"

"A-"

"I mean, he did a backflip! The dance choreography was phenomenal!"

"Alex-"

"I mean, I knew he was amazing, but I didn't think he was that amazing!"

"ALEXA!"

She finally shut up so I could get my words out.

"Alexa, I have something to tell you. Come to my house ASAP. I need you to drive me somewhere."

"Why can't we take your car?"

"I'll explain later. Just come to my house. Now." I demanded, hanging up.
