"What's the matter, Haley-samachan?"

"Uncle's so called Shadow Ability... Judging from the information we had gathered, I can't possibly say that it could either hide or teleport Lancelot-san's Golden Spear upon contact."

"What do you mean?"

"I have also learned from Bernard-san that the SF Department's top sensory specialists couldn't detect the exact location of Uncle, neither the SSS. We had only traced his location when he was already riding his winged beast. And the most surprising about his ability is..."

"?"

"It blocked Grandpa's ranged ability, making it possible to escape from him."

"He escaped from the King?!"

"Although it's really irritating, but Grandpa always brags to me that the last one who had escaped from his ability was a King from the East Abyss."

"Then that means..."

"I don't have a sample of the shadow so I can't proceed to any conclusion, but if my suspicion is correct, considering the amount of gathered data and Uncle's last words to Lancelot-san, then that shadow ability... Could probably negate anything connected to Cyber Abyss." Haley stated while smiling.

"Ummm... Haley-samachan, why are you smiling despite of all those troubles?"

"Honestly, this kingdom kinda bores me lately. A lot of scientists and developers at the scientific community are always proposing dull and stupid projects." Haley took a sip of her coffee. "It's always been flying cars, artificial intelligence, virtual reality technologies and those other boring stuffs. It only reminds me that we're only few steps away from the 21st century technologies. Good thing, there's Yosuke-kun and all of those future money to be ..."

Honestly, I really can't tell if that's an unrequited love or just an Haley-samachan's obsession... Sakura thought in doubt.

In that moment, the glass door in the room suddenly slid open.

"Oh! Speaking of the devil! Masuda-san can you... EH?!"

It was Felix Webster and Yosuke Masuda, who just arrived after their mission's tragic ending.

Although the two of them successfully completed their objectives and caught their target, their faces looked like they had failed their mission.

"Wait a minute... How come you two looked like those survivors in an apocalypse?" The orange haired girl asked.

"This idiot used his lightning ability when it's obviously raining outside!"

"But look at the bright side, Felix-san..."

"What bright side?!"

"We now know that if we get electrocuted during a storm near a river, we can survive a ride on the river stream! We're really that awesome!"

"Like hell that's a valid reason!"

As Sakura immediately tossed towels in each of them, Yosuke and Felix rubbed themselves down using it.

SPEAR's objectives involved top secret missions that didn't only concern about terrorist attacks; it also had to do with the kingdom's defenses whether it was physical or involving top layers of computer security networks around new Tokyo. Typically, SPEAR's missions were those kinds of missions that were hidden to the public, especially the media.
