Exploring the Saru Forest were incredibly overwhelming, especially for the first timers like Yosuke Masuda and his fellow rookies. There, they were greeted by the sounds of countless animals like insects and birds residing in this jungle. Everything around them, if not wood, would be leaves and grasses. Yosuke had to swing his Flame Sword just to shove the giant leaves and bushes around them. It almost felt like they went to a place that was never been explored before.

Strolling through the area, they saw a couple of small insect species lurking just a few steps from them. And from a much higher heights, they saw the creatures that this forest was infamous about.

The Elemental Monkeys.

There was a troop of primates traveling with the use of long thick vines that were attached through the mighty trees within this jungle. But not all of them could be called an Elemental Monkey. In fact, none of those that Yosuke's group saw had a beast with elemental attributes. They were ultra-rare after all.

"According to my info, those primates that we saw could actually grow more than 70 feet tall. Although it is quite rare. But those that possessed elemental abilities is much rarer."

"Rare, huh? You think if we find a small elemental one, we could get a lot of cash for it?" Yosuke stated while reeking his lust for money. I could buy all the anime and games that I want!

But in that moment, an arrow was shot inches away from Yosuke's face.

"!"

It surprised the janitor boy that he just froze on his feet.

"That was close, Masuda-kun..."

"Eh?!"

By looking at Vincent's shooting stance, Yosuke learned that the arrow that was shot before him was from his senpai. He immediately glanced back at the arrow and was shocked at what he had saw.

The arrow actually penetrated the head of a small blue-colored snake that was about to bite Yosuke Masuda. The janitor boy immediately dashed away from the dead snake.

"This is a Blue-Dweller Snake." Laura stated after observing the snake beast. "It is said that anyone who took a bite from this snake would die in just a few minutes due to its poison-type ability..."

"What?! There are beasts like that in this forest?!"

"Hmph! Letting your guard down eh, Janitor?" Frederyk replied mockingly. "I think it would be better if the snake bites you..."

"Frederyk-san, that's a bad joke!" Laura told her fellow party member.

Although the only thing that Yosuke could do was to sigh, he was still grateful that he wasn't bite to death. He clearly underestimated the beasts in this place. And with that, Yosuke Masuda now realized that no matter what and where jungle or dungeon he was, a small mistake could endanger one's life.

---------------------------------------------

The Saru Forest was not just your ordinary jungle. Although there was thousands of trees sleeping within this vast jungle, some of these trees were hundred times larger than others. These giant trees were so high that people traveling within this jungle couldn't see its peak.

But despite of those giant trees, the crew came across a pile of several huge white rocks that seemed to be resting within the center of the jungle. These were stones that were just a little larger than the average human height. It was unusual for those kind of stones to be in that area as there weren't any white rocks along their way.
