2.10.1---------------------------------------------
With everything on his path getting destroyed, Yosuke Masuda was running for his life in exchange for the time Caroline Castlelock could use to fix the transportation code. And at his back was the immortal-like champion beast that could immediately recover from any wound that it received.
Yosuke Masuda didn't know what to do next, except for running. But thankfully, the monster's current strength and speed stats weren't like its stats the last time the Yosuke fought it. The janitor boy had already dodged few of the champion beast's tackle attempts that he felt like the beast had powered down.
But Yosuke Masuda didn't let his guard down just yet. He was well aware that a single strike from that giant beast would cost him his life. And on top of that, he was always looking at his side, on his screen menu to check out the clock.
"Why won't this clock run faster?!"
It was the longest three minutes of his life.
But while still running, Yosuke recalled something during his conversation with Caroline Castlelock.
Wait a minute... If what Caroline-san saying is true, then this beast couldn't use its Rampage Mode in daylight. This means, my ability could probably damage this monster...
With that on his mind, the janitor boy quickly drew his Flame Sword inside his screen menu.
The champion beast was still chasing him when Yosuke was figuring out what would be his next move against his opponent. Until Yosuke suddenly halted moving.
"!"
With the champion beast still chasing him on his back, the janitor boy just froze on his feet.
"You got to be kidding me...."
Yosuke Masuda was just running non-stop in Soul Town away from the giant horse-type beast. He had no idea that the direction he chose was headed towards a place he didn't want to run into.
In just a blink of an eye, he just realized he was just next to a... cliff.
"Damn it!"
Observing the cliff, it was probably 100 meters high with nothing but trees below. And right at his back was the champion beast that followed him all the way from the clock tower.
There was nowhere to run. Nobody to help him, no buildings to hide in and no support ability to assist him.
Yosuke had only two choices left. Escape by jumping off the cliff or face the champion beast all by himself.
Obviously, the janitor boy knew it was impossible for him to survive a fall on that cliff. Choosing that route would be a terrible idea. At least, fighting a champion beast could give him a slim chance of escape.
The janitor boy then held his Flame Sword with all of his strength and faced the horse-type beast. With the lightning element on his arms slowly pouring up on his sword, he then smiled.
"Here goes nothing!"
Charging at the champion beast, Yosuke's primary target was the beast's left foot. Although the lightning element gave him a boost on his speed stats earlier, that same lightning ability shrunk down to only his arms, returning his speed back to normal.
That was why not even arriving in front of the beast, Yosuke saw the giant horse raised its forelegs once again and crushed it into the ground. It created a small quake and shattered the entire land on that cliff.
Yosuke had no choice but to jump again.
"!"
After he jumped out of bounds against the created quake, Yosuke was still in the air when he saw the champion beast doing a familiar stance once again.
