Chapter 26- Gaara vs Lee (Part 2)

That last blow Lee sent to Gaara was amazing, he jumped back and smirked at Gaara. Suddenly he vanished into thin air and a form appeared behind Gaara who looked back quickly. But by time Gaara had looked back Lee was already in front of him and punched the red head to the ground.

"This is bad," I whispered. I could feel an intense bloodlust radiating from Gaara. The sand shinobu stood up and it appeared his face was crumbling. It reminded me of the time we fought Orochimaru and his face peeled off like a snake. Here was similar, but the face that was crumbling seemed to be made up of sand.

Underneath, Gaara's real face was smiling in a deranged manner. In his eyes were a crazed look that made everyone in the room freeze in fear. Slowly the sand recovered Gaara like a shell, or armor. But I was happy to see that this sand armor took up chakra and it seemed to weigh Gaara down a bit.

I watched for Lee's reaction, he seemed stunned for a moment but that was quickly smothered and replaced by a look of confidence. The boy in green looked up at Gai with a questioning look, and as if they shared an invisible link Gai nodded as if agreeing to Lee's unspoken question.

Slowly bushy brows untied the bandeges of his arms, I smiled. I was pretty made the first time he tried using it against Sasuke, a fellow allie. But against Gaara I was fine with it, it appeared Gai shared my thoughts when he allowed Lee to do so.

As if he was a phantom, Lee disappeared from his spot and several spots around Gaara had it's dust kicked up signaling that Lee was circling the sand shinobi. And without warning Lee was on his hands under Gaara and kicked up. The red head's head snapped back and he flew into the air, Lee again vanished from his spot and appeared behind Gaara.

The loosened bandages around Lee's arms unwrapped and binded Gaara's entire body besides the head and feet. Lee grabbed on to the now wrapped up sand shinobi and held on tight.

A vortex appeared in the spot they were in, exsept they weren't in mid air anymore. They were on the ground in a explosion like crash.

The ground broke into millions of pieces and rubble exploded outwards with a ton of smoke fogging up what happened. Lee though could be seen dancing out of the way of this deadly attack. When the dust finally cleared up, Gaara could be seen laying in the middle of a crater surrounded by large pieces that once made up the floor of the tower. It seemed that Rock Lee had won, but I wasn't so certain.

"Lee-san won!" Sakura shouted grinning.

We all leaned over the railing trying to get a better look at this epic battle, Lee landed next to the carnage and watched Gaara as we all did. If he got up that battle would continue and if he didn't Lee would've won.

Gaara's face cracked like before as the sand armor broke, I was surprised it didn't shatter upon impact. Suddenly my head snapped back to Lee, I was tempted to warn him that-

Gaara's face suddenly caved in revealing that it was a fake. That Gaara had some how escaped. My eyes were glued to the sand that now was behind Lee, the real Gaara emerged from it laughing.

Lee flinched away as the real Gaara made a hand justu. the leaf shinobi tried to get away as a large amount of sand was suddenly hurled at him but the attack he just did on the fake Gaara had taken it's toll. His limbs didn't respond due to the now lack of stamina and Lee quickly braced himself as the wave of sand crashed into him and sent him flying back into a wall. Lee winced at the pain and slid down tired, but the sand came again.

Lee lifted his arms to block the attack and when it hit the entire structure of the tower rumbled. The place where bushy brows stood was now enfluged by rubble and smoke. When it faded Lee stood there with one eye open and his hands out showing that he blocked the attack. Behind him on the wall was a crater as large as the one he had made when attacking Gaara.
