Chapter 37- Her Final Choice!

I quickly teleported back to where Naruto and Jiraya were explaining the hole to the manager of the hotel. Long story short, we were banned from ever going to that hotel again. Oh well, what ja gonna do?

On the other hand Gai was here, and Sasuke was in serious condition. Apparently Itachi did the same thing to Kakashi so now we were rushing back to Konoha. I bit my lip still thinking about what that guy Tobi said. What did he mean by if I changed my mind, I doubt I would ever I mean Konoha is my home but.....

I shook my head, we needed to hurry and I was falling behind.

We soon stopped to part ways.

Naruto and Jiraya were still going to find this chick and Gai, Sasuke, and I back to the village. With Jiraya with Naruto I doubt I'll be needed unless a women distracts the perverted sage again, but I doubt he would fall for that trick twice..... Would he...?

Gai was now telling Naruto weird things again and suddenly pulled out a black jump suit that he and Lee always wore, it brought back memories of that guy Tobi. I pushed the memory aside.

"See you Naruto," I said giving him a high five.

"Yeah, bye Ashimi-chan! Don't forget you promised me Ramen!"

I laughed, "Of course, til than. See ya!"

I watched as the Pedo and my best friend walked away, I turned to Gai. "We better get Sasuke back to the village fast."

He nodded than shouted something about 'youth power' and ran off. I rolled my eyes reminding myself to be happy I didn't get him as my sensei even if my sensei is a total pervert.

It didn't take long to arrive at the village, we quickly raced towards the hospital and to the emergency room. That's when I spotted my other friend with pink hair. She smiled when see saw me but when Sasuke came into view her eyes went wide.

"What happened?!" Sakura shouted running towards us. I was helping the medics put Sasuke on a stretcher.

I turned to my pink haired friend, "Um.... We encountered some enemies in a town. Naruto and I are fine but.... Well you can see what happened to Sasuke."

I watched as her eyes teared up, I put a hand on her shoulder.

"He'll be okay Sakura," I said. "I promise."

"How could this happen!" She exclaimed. "First Lee, than the Hokage, than Kakashi, and now Sasuke?! Why?!"

I bit my lip, I wanted to tell her that that was part of being a ninja. That precious people will get hurt and there might not be anything we could do about it. But I thought better of saying that, Sakura was already in a fragile enough state, I didn't need to go and make it worse by saying a comment like that.

I sighed for like the milionth time today, "Hey Sakura? Where's Kakashi-sensei's room, I want to go and check up on him."

"Um sure..." Sakura said lifelessly. "He should be in room 206. Forth floor, third hall down to the right. You can't miss it."

I thanked her and walked away following her instructions. When I arrived Asuma-sensei was there as well as Shikamaru. They were talking silently as Kakashi slept.

I knocked on the door frame softly, just loud enough to get the attention of the two awake shinobi.

"Hi Ashimi-san," Shikamaru said. "I thought you were off with Naruto."

Asuma's eyes widened, "You were off with Naruto?! Did you meet..."

"Yeah," I nodded. "Itachi was there, so was Sasuke. I came back with Gai-sensei, Sasuke's not doing too well. He got the same treatment from his brother like Kakashi did."
