Chapter 33- Mission begin!

I felt a growl from the back of my throat, I gripped my fist and felt my body shake from anger. I stood there glaring at the two people in front of me, late, and completely inexcusable.

"Sorry we're late," Kakashi said smiling, he and Sasuk'e stood back to back like some cool people of something, I felt my eye twitch.

"You name," the ref said smirking.

"Sasuke," the blue haired boy said. "Uchiha Sasuke."

I stalked up to Kakashi and jabbed him hard in the chest with my finger ruining the cool scene they had just made, also not caring if I looked like in idiot in front of the whole stadium. "You! How dare you be late and say a lousy 'I'm sorry', Sasuke could have gotten fucken disqualified. Sorry?! Pft! The only reason I'm not beating you two up is because one there's no time and two Sasuke needs to be in his best shape when he battles. You better be fucken grateful that they simply pushed your match down so you wouldn't be disqualified!"

With that I concluded my scolding and stormed back to the waiting room feeling the gazes of the ref, my friends, and my so called sensei burning into my back and sat down grumpily on the ground muttering.

Once again I felt the familiar ominous feeling coming from besides me and my eyes rested on a certain scary red head. He look down at Sasuke, face composed but the craziness loomed in his eyes. I shuddered.

"Sasuke!" I heard Naruto shout. "I want to fight you too." It sounded like a love confetion to me.

With that Sasuke smirked and nodded and so began the final match for round one.

"Gaara," the ref called. "Please come down."

I sighed when it took Naruto and Shikamari forever to get back up, they were still walking in the arena so I jumped down and followed them to the stair case leading up to it. We ran up theseveral flights of stairs, not wanting to miss any of Sasuke and Gaara's fight though I feared for my arrogant blue haired friend. Gaara wasn't normal, I wanted to help him but wasn't sure how to. All I knew was that he was dangerous and wouldn't hesitate to kill a person, plus Gaara made me question my relationship with the people I loved. He made me wonder if it was easier not to have anyone important to protect...... I shook the thought from my mind, this wasn't the time for such questions.

I took three steps at a time, Naruto and Shikamaru a flight behind me hollering at me to slow down but I didn't. For some reason suddenly I felt I needed to get up fast, something was wrong, bad. It screamed danger and sent a chill down my spine.

When I finally reached the top of the stair case I froze in my tracks, blood..... Blood covered every inch of the hall. Limbs with no body, faces unrecognisable. I was staring at a killing and in the middle of the gruesome sight......

Gaara.

My knees wobbled and I fell to the ground staring in horror at the scene before me, bile rose in my throat, burning. The monster looked at me, eyes more crazed than ever he....... smirked.

If possible I went even more rigid, than the monster walked away without a word. Just a smirk, taunting, mocking, daring me to do something. This was not the same boy I had met that sunny day in Konoha, no. This was a monster who screamed for blood, nothing but it. The red sticky essensethat kept us all alive, yet he wanted it out of our bodies.

Gaara turned around a corner and looked back at me, giving me one last chance to stop him before he left. I felt as if a spell was broken, I leaned forwards, palms facing the floor and coughed up whatever food I had left in my stomach.

Shivers racked through my body and finaly Naruto and Shikamaru reached the floor and saw me on the floor. They rushed to my aid.

"Ashimi-chan," Naruto said worried. "Are you okay?!"
