Chapter 23- Sasuke vs. Yoroi

Uchiha Sasuke vs. Akado Yoroi

I recognized the name Yoroi as one of Kabuto's teammates, I couldn't see his expression cause a cloth covered the bottom half of his face and dark shades hid his eyes but I could tell he was grinning in anticipation as was Sasuke. Though I was a bit worried, what if that hickey he had spread again? And when will I stop calling it a hickey? (Cause it's something a lot more perverted, I'm sure of it!)

"Okay," Hayate said. "The two participants please come forewards."

I noticed worried that Sasuke flinched every now and than, the cursed hickey must hurt.....

"Now," Hayate said when Sasuke and Yoroi faced each other. "We will start with the first match! Will everyone but the two participants move to the upper level."

He pointed to the balcony and I followed everyone else up the stairs, of course being the clumsy me I had to just trip over a step and fall. I shut my eyes preparing for the impact that never came, instead I felt a pair of strong arms catch me. When I opened my eyes I saw red hair.

Gaara! My face turned red as I moved out of his hold, positive that my face was completely red.

"Watch where your going next time," Gaara said tonelessly.

"Thank you," I said and walked away stiffly.

"What happened back there?" Sakura asked when I went over to stand by her.

"N-nothing," I stammered. I don't know why I was acting so embarrassed and flustered. It just wasn't me, I would normally never act this way if I was steadied by a guy! So why am I now?

"You sure," Sakura asked conserened. "Your blushing."

I hands flew to my cheeks to find them warmer than usual, "Am I?!"

Sakura giggled, "I never knew there was this side of you Ashimi!"

I glared at her, "There isn't!"

She rolled her eyes and looked down at the floor below us where Sasuke and Yoroi were just about to battle. Her face instantly turned from a cheerful one to a worried one when her eyes laid on Sasuke.

I watched as Kakashi walked by Sasuke and said a few quiet words to him, I'm guessing warning him not to use the Sharingan. After that was done Kakashi walked up to the second floor and joined Sakura, Naruto, and I in our spot. Just as all the other team's mentors join their team.

I noticed the one sound nin I haven't met before that gave me a creepy feeling wasn't a genin at all. He was the sensei for the group of sound nin's that worked for Orochimaru. In fact their mentor had an uncanny resemblance to the pedo snake man, I shivered.

Instead I turned my sttention back to the battle that was about to begin.

"Okay," Hayate said. "Read.... Begin!"

Immediantly Sasuke pulled out a kunia and Yoroi took out three sharinkens and he he threw it at Sasuke. Who used his kunia to send the weapons back to the thrower. But as he was doing it he flinched in pain and Sasuke fell to the ground after.

Yoroi dodged his own sharikens and at a super fast speed was at the spot where Sasuke laid and sent a punch down which Sasuke narrowly avoided. Sasuke jammed his kunia into the ground and used it as a base to spin of of and turned himself and kicked Yoroi knocking him to the ground. It appeared that Sasuke had the upper hand but I knew better.

Yoroi was sapping his chakra like I did with plants and animals, but it appeared he could only do it by touch. Because I watched as when Sasuke held onto Yoroi longer he seemed to lose strength while Yoroi gained. Eventually Sasuke lost too much and Yoroi broke out of his hold, and punched Sasuke to the ground.

I dread at what happened next, Yoroi grabbed Sasuke's face and pinned him to the ground. Sasuke's chakra continued to be sapped at an alarming rate, if this continued the cursed hickey would be forced to activate!

Sasuke managed to find some power to kick Yoroi away from him, he looked completely tired out. Drained of chakra and strength.

"Are you really Uchiha Sasuke!" I heard Naruto suddenly shout. "Is that the best you can do?!"

Sasuke's head snapped up at Naruto and realization dawned on him, I knew that he had an idea coming on.

Yoroi charged at Sasuke now who smirked. And at the last second Sasuke pulled some Teijustu out of nowhere and kicked Yoroi strait u in the chin sending him high into the air. I recognized it from the time Sasuke fought with Lee, this was the move he lost against. Than I remembered that he had his shaingan activated than, he had copied the move. I could see several shocked faces, two from Lee himself and Gai sensei.

Sasuke pushed himself off the ground and came up behind Yoroi, he made a hand justu. "Leaf shadow dance!"

At that moment Sasuke coughed up blood and I watched in horror as the cursed hickey started to spread. It spread for a while and suddenly stopped. It seemed that Sasuke was having a battle with himself instead of just with Yoroi.

Amazingly the cursed hickey retracted by Sasuke's will, he grinned. Sasuke grabbed onto Yoroi's back and used that as a base while he spun to the side of him and his leg came down with an incredible force and knocked Yoroi down, but it wasn't enough.

Yoroi pushed himself off Sasuke so he didn't crash into the ground but Sasuke wasn't done yet either. When they were about a foot from the ground Sasuke quickly did the same thing and kicked Yoroi down. This time without enough time he hit the ground with a sickening crack.

Sasuke also skited back and seemed to be defeated as well. Hayate checked Yoroi and looked to Sasuke, if he got up than Sasuke would be declared the winner. To my relief he did, Sasuke struggled to his feet and smirked.

"I'm stopping the match right here," Hayate shouted. "The winner of the first match, Uchiha Sasuke.... ha passed the prelims!"

"Yeah!" Naruto shouted, me right along with him though Sakura was quiet, worry written all over her face.

Sasuke sat down and shook falling backwards but Kakashi suddenly appeared behind him and steadied him.

"Damn it Sasuke!" I heard Naruto shout. "What a lame way to win! Your all beat up!"

Even thought he said this I he was shaking in excitement, Naruto's eyes danced with happiness. Sasuke looked up at him and smiled shaking his head which made me laugh.

Suddenly Sasuke winced and clutched his chest. The medic team that was picking up Yoroi turned to Sasuke, "You should come too."

"That won't be needed," Kakashi said. "I'll take care of him!"

The medic team walked away and Kakashi helped Sasuke up but the rest of us were all focused on the score board.

I smiled hoping I would go next, after that match I couldn't wait to get going!

Suddenly two names showed up and I paled. The first name was mine luckily but the second name.........

.... Hykuna Teno.....

I'm so sorry this chapter was soo short! I'll upload again today or at least try, to make up for it!
