The next day only Kasami came, which you can imagine how depressed I must have been.
"Hey squirt," Kasami said. "I have a question for you."
"Shoot."
"What did you do to Itachi?"
I froze and turned to face him, "Excuse me?"
"Well," Kasami said examining his sword, which I recently learned had a personality of it's own. "I've never seen him so out of it? What happened yesterday? Cause I think you broke my partner."
I smiled sheepishly, "I don't know, we just trained and stuff. Same old same old."
"Oh..."
I sighed, I couldn't tell him I kissed Itachi. One it might get us both killed and two I'd never hear the end of it from Kasami. Plus it would be just plain embarrassing.
"Yeah well we'd better get start-"
"What are you doing sitting around."
My head snapped up to the voice and my heart beat picked up, "Itachi." I murmured.
He was standing there staring at the two of us, once again he expressed no emotion but his eyes darted to me every once in a while; and every time he did i would blush. Thankfully Kasami wasn't the most observant person in the world so he did notice these small exchanges between Itachi and I.
We trained, three on three. In the end Itachi came out on top, but I for the first time beat Kasami. Of course he was a sore loser though and grumbled about me cheating and eventually left for their base that I've only heard about, leaving Itachi and I alone again.
I looked down embarrassde, "So um..... about yesterday-"
I was cut off by Itachi's lips, my eyes widened with shock but eventually I got into it and wrapped my arms around his neck. The kiss wasn't romantic or anything, but neither was it aggressive, but instead it was soft and calm and really sweet.
Eventually we both had to release for a breath of air.
"So what does that mean," I asked when I caught my breath.
Itachi slightly smiled and shook his head, "To be honest I don't know. This was never suppose to happen, it'll get in the way."
"No it won't," I said. "I'll help you protect Sasuke, I promise."
Itachi looked up at me with consered eyes, "You do realize that in the end I can't choose you right."
I looked down, a sad smile on my face. "I know," I murmured. "But for both you and Sasuke I will help, no matter what."
"Are you sure?"
I nodded, "More than I've ever been in my entire life."
"Okay than," Itachi said. "Than I need you to do something when you get back to the village and before you come to Akatsuki."
"What?"
Itachi sighed, "I need you to make sure Sasuke leaves the village for good and Naruto stays alive."
"Naruto," I looked at him questionably. "What does he have to do with this?"
"I promise I will tell you when the time is right," Itachi said. "But for now I do believe that today is the last day of your two weeks?"
My eyes widened in surprise, "Your right! Oh my gosh, I have to go back to the village today!"
Itachi chuckled, "Well than, use the ring to summon both Kasami and I when you are ready to leave and we will come and fetch you."
