Chapter 32- Shikamaru's stand.

I suddenly realized with my battle done and gone Sasuke's was next, I froze. I could I have been stalling the battle until he got here but I didn't....... I sighed. I just hoped that the examiner would continued pushing his match down.

"Attention Ladies and Gentlemen," the ref shouted. "The next match still cannot go as planned so I will have to push it down further. Will the next contestants please come forth! Kankuro and Aburame Shino! Please come down!"

I glanced over at Shino but than moved on to Kankuro since I can never read the leaf shinobi's expression. Kankuro looked worried and shot glances over at Shino. Curiosity got the best of me and I read Kankuro's mind but stopped abruptly when my lack of energy started to hurt me, damn, and I had more fights to go! The only words I heard were, battle not important and before the plan begins. I wonder what that's all about but I was starting to get suspicious about these Sand shinobi, especially since Gaara's true colors started to show.

Tamari and Kankuro glance at each other and suddenly he said something I wasn't prepared for.

"I forfeit," Kankuro said giving Shino and automatic ticket to the next round. My jaw dropped.

Tamari gave her brother a stink eye and whipped out a gigantic fan, "Tch."

She swung the overly large fan and created a large gust of air, and jumped onto the fan while ridding the breeze down to the arena bellow. She landed gracefully on her feet and closed up her fan.

 "Impatient aren't ya," I said to myself and turned to Shikamaru who was leaning over the edge muttering. "Get down there Shika!"

"Don't call me that!"

"Get down here Shikamaru!" The ref shouted.

I looked to Naruto and we both winked at the same time, we crept up behind Shikamaru and suddenly pushed him over the side! I laughed as I watched his figure fall and hit the ground with a loud 'thud!'.

 Shikamaru now laid with the bottom half of his body leaned up against the wall, all in all he looked very stupid.

Naruto and I high fived and Kankuro looked to us like we were crazy.

"What happened to the cool and composed girl out there in the battle field?" He asked me.

"Awe," I said pretending to be a flattered school girl with a blush on my face and my hands enterlocked behind me. "You think I'm cool! Well thanks! I think so too! And the girl you saw, she packed her bags and left the building!"

"Right....."

I laughed and turned back to the arena, everyone was yelling at Shikamaru to get up and fight and how this battle was a waste of their time, but I on the other hand was very intrested. I wanted to see Shikamaru's fighting style. Even after being his friend for so long I've never seen him fight before. This would be the perfect chance!

Tamari suddenly charged before the ref started the battle yet, just when Tamari was about to cave in Shikamaru's skull with her giant fan he hoisted himself up to the wall with two kunias.

Tamari smirked and suddenly her fan opened and she swung it so hard the force of the wind created an explosion when it hit the wall where my lazy friend was. I was relieved to find that he had moved out of the way before the attack hit him. I wouldn't put it pass Shikamaru to suddenly decide that moving out of the way was too troublesome and took the hit instead.

I spotted Shikamaru's chakra signiture behind the clump of trees and bushes, I sighed it was so like him to hide. But that also gave him time to plan and stratigize which he was extreamly good at. But I sighed when I saw his expression, it was all calm and relaxed as he cloud gazed.
