"You want to leave the village for a few days?"

I stood in front of Kakashi sensei's bed, since he was my sensei I would have to ask for his permission. I couldn't bring myself to meet his eyes, not after that horrible dream.

"Um yeah," I said rubbing my arm. "Just for a few days, maybe a week or two. You know, just to get my mind off things and be alone for a while."

"I don't know...." Kakashi mused. "Why don't you bring Teno along-"

"No!" I said hastily. For the past few days since that dream I've been doing everything in my power to avoid running into Teno. Staying over at Sakura's house, late night training, asking for extra missions, and so far it's worked.

"It's just," I said. "I need this time alone, away from.... People."

Kakashi looked at me worried, not an expression you see him wear often. "Are you alright Ashimi? You don't look so good, did something happen...? It wasn't that meeting with Akatsuki was it?"

I could feel the shock on my face and did my best to hide it; it seemed to work. "No, of course not! I just need some time away from everything, the village, the people. I promise I won't be gone long an I wont get into any trouble! Please!"

Kakashi sighed in defeat, "Fine, do what you want. But come back within two weeks or we're sending Anbu out to find you. It's dangerous out there for a lone girl, even if she is a ninja."

"Dangerous," I scoffed. "For me?! No way, I'm the best fricken ninja out there. I will go totally awesome on their asses!"

Kakashi rolled his eyes, "Only you Ashimi. Now get going, your interupting my reading."

I grimaced at the porno book he pulled out and Kakashi chuckled at my reaction, I waved bye and jumped out the window.

I sighed, I hope that last comment I made put Kakashi's worries away. I didn't want anyone to think something was up, I mean I was about to betray the village, but I had to. For  their own safety, I also had my revenge to think about too.

I walked into my room and took out my duffel bag, it was a faded army green and really torn up from all the days it's seen. But no matter how much Teno complained and tried to get me a new one, I refused to part with my ugly bag.

I chuckled at myself as I packed my necessities I would need, I wasn't planning on leaving the village just yet. No, I would train first. After seeing the Akatsuki members fight I knew I was no where near their league. So first I would train than join them, obviously after I got to know some of their members first of course.

After packing I decided I wouldn't bring any food, it was always funner to hunt my own game. Plus food you caught yourself always seem to taste better in a way. What I did pack though were matches, what was the use of catching prey you couldn't cook and eat, it would be pointless.

I flung the bag over my shoulder and secured it under my arm and looked back at my room, would I ever see it again when I leave the village for good? I doubt it, the thought sent a pain of longing through me but I ignored it. It was better this way.

I walked towards the gate of the village while looking down at the ground in front of me.

"I don't know,  haven't seen her in days."

I froze, I turned around and peeked into a food stand, Teno and Choji were there sharing a bag off beef jerky.

"Well Ashimi is back in the village isn't she?" Choji said.

Teno shrugged, "That's what they told me. Everyone says they've just talked to her, but it seems like every time I try to find her she's already gone. You don't think she's avoiding me do you?"
