I woke up to a booming clap of thunder. BOOM! And then another! BOOM! And then I saw a flash of lightning, and heard the pitter-patter of rain.

I loved this weather so much. I rolled over and grinned, sliding out of bed, and waddling over to the window. I stared out at the grey sky, illuminated by the stike of lightning.

I felt a kick in the bottom of my stomach.

"I guess you like it too, little gypsy." I smiled, and rubbed my tummy.

My phone suddenly rang, quite loudly, and I waddled over as fast as I could to answer it, without waking up Steven.

"Hello?" I whispered into the reciever.

"Hey baby! How are you? It's been a while!" My mom chuckled into the phone.

"Mom! I missed you so much!" I continued whispering, and walked back over to the window, staring out at the perfect weather.

"Honey... Why are you whispering? Is there something wrong?" She asked, concerned.

"No... It's just that Steven's still asleep, and I don't want to wake him." I paused and smiled over at my sexy husband, who groaned and rolled over, and then smiled over at me. "Oops... Too late." I spoke normally, and grinned.

"Ohh, I'm sorry honey, was this a bad time?" She sighed

"No! Not at all!" I gasped "So what's up?"

"Oh nothing, your father and I were just wondering what you and Steven were doing for the holidays? Thanksgiving's not too far away."

"Oh, shit, you're right! Umm.... I'm not sure.. We haven't dicussed any plans, so I was just assuming either we were having people over, or waiting until someone invited us, I guess." I chuckled.

Steven rolled out of bed and walked over to me, wrapping his arms around my waist, and resting his chin on top of my head.

"Well, would you guys like to come back to Jersey? It's been a while since you've seen Pike, and we'd love to have you guys over!"

"Yeah! We'd love that! We'll fly in I guess the weekend before, okay?" I grinned.

"Sounds perfect!" I could hear her smiling.

"Oh.... and mom?" I asked, nervous.

"Yes, dear?" Her tone suggested she knew something was up.

"Don't freak out... but uh....." I paused.

"Mia Lynn Parker... you tell me what's wrong right this instant." She huffed.

"Tyler!" I corrected her.

"Okay then, Mia Lynn Tyler... Tell me what's up." She chuckled.

"I... Uh.... I'm pregnant." I smiled up at Steven, who kissed my nose.

"OH MY GOSH CONGRATULATIONS! I'M GOING TO BE A GRANDMOTHER OH MY GOD. JOHN! JOHN! YOUR GOING TO BE A GRANDFATHER!" I heard my mother scream into the reciever.

I assume it was loud enough for Steven to hear, because he burst out laughing.

"Okay, well... We'll see you then." I smiled, and hugged myself closer to Steven, who tightened his grip around me in responce. "I love you, mom."

"I love you too, sweetie." She said, and then hung up.

"I guess we're going back to Jersey?" Steven grinned.

I smiled up at him and nodded.

I thought for a moment, and then a huge grin spread across my face. I took my phone back out from my pocket, and shot my mom a quick text;
