"HELLO LOS ANGELES!" I screamed into the microphone, gaping at the audience before me.
We sold out at the L.A Staples Center, which meant Gypsy Blue was performing infront of 20,000 people right now. "How are ya'll doing tonight?!"
The crowd errupted, sending a shiver running up my spine.
"We've got a great show for you tonight, guys!" Again, the crowd errupted into screams. "But right now, I'd like to introduce a very special guest."
I paused, letting the audience cheer, as I turned to look over my shoulder towards the side of the stage where Steven, and the rest of Aerosmith, was watching me, with Ali in his arms, and Elton John to his right, waiting to come out on stage.
With a grin, I turned back to the microphone.
"L.A, please welcome, my idol, and a good friend of mine; Sir Elton John!"
Screams and cat calls, whoops and hollers, noise makers and everything under the sun could be heard from this amazing audience, which honestly gave me goose bumps.
Elton came walking out onto the stage and up to me, wrapping me in his arms, giving me the biggest, warmest hug in the world.
"Thank you, darling." He grinned at me, before he took his place behind the white baby grand piano a few feet away from me.
As he took his place on the laquered bench, I hopped up on top of the piano, bringing the microphone with me.
Instantly, he began to bang out the tune to Bennie, making the crowd go wild.
"Hey kids, shake it loose together.
The spotlight's hittin' something
That's been known to change the weather.
We'll kill the fatty calf tonight, so stick around.
You're gonna hear electric music; solid walls of sound.
Say Candy, and Ronnie, have you seen them yet?
Ooohh, but they're so spaced out.
B-B-B-Bennie and the Jetsssss.
Woahh But they're weird and they're wonderful.
Oh Bennie, she's a really keen.
She's got electric boots,
A mohair suit
You know I read it in a magazay-iiinee ohhhhh.
B-B-B-Bennie and the jetss."
I hopped off of the piano and began prancing around the stage, having fun with the song, and getting the crowd into it; swaying their hands and singing along.
The raspy growl in my voice came back, making the tune sound so much better than the way we had originally practiced it.
"Bennie! Bennie and the jets!
Say Candy and Ronnie have you seen them yet?
Wooooaahh But they're so spaced out!
B-B-B-Bennie and the jets.
Ohh but they're weird and they're wonderful
Oh Bennie, she's a really keen.
She's got electric boots
A mohair suit,
You know I read it in a magazay-iiinee ohhhhh.
B-B-B-Bennie and the jetss.
Bennie! Bennie! Bennie, bennie, bennie bennaaayyy
And the jeeeeettsss
B-B-B-Bennie and the jetssssssss."
I let the final notes slither off of my tongue, enticing the crowd for more, as Elton banged out the last few notes, hard and heavy, on the ivory keys of the piano.
The amazingness of the night just kept going on and on as we crashed through Tiny Dancer, as well as Rocket Man, with Elton singing Rocket Man, and us doing a duet on Dancer.
The entire night was pure magic.
Elton even rocked out to a few of our songs, and we even got Aerosmith to come out and perform 'Can't Stop Lovin' You' with Gypsy Blue.
"Ladies and Gentlemen," I spoke into the microphone, after taking a sip of my water, hoping to refresh my voice before our final song. "Sir Elton John, and his fantastic writing partner Bernie Taupin, the rest of the band, and I have worked so hard on this next number. We hope you enjoy it."
