"Where are we going?" I asked Steven, who was driving me around town with a blindfold on.
"You'll see when we get there, we just have to make a pit stop first." I could hear him smiling as he spoke.
A few minutes later the car stopped, and I heard Stevens door open and close, and moments later, my door opened, and Steven helped me out of the car.
"Is the blindfold really necessary?" I half giggled, half sighed.
"Yes... It is." He smiled and held my hand, leading me through a doorway.
I knew where I was before Steven took the blindfold off. I smelled the familiar scent of burning incense, and I knew I was in the hippie shoppe.
Steven stopped walking, and then lifted my blind fold off.
"I knew it." I grinned
"What? How?" He seemed confused
"The incense." I chuckled. "But why are we here?"
"Well... to shop..." He giggled "I wanna pick some things up before I show you the real surprise." He smiled and held my hand as we walked around the little shop searching for cute hippie-ish items.
A few minutes later, the beaded curtain infront of the 'employees only' door moved aside, and Dylan walked out.
"Hey, Mia!" He grinned
"Hey, Dylan!" I smiled and waved. "Dylan, this is Steven. Steven, Dylan." I introduced them.
"Nice to meet you." Steven smiled as he shook the young man's hand.
"It's an honor, Mr. Tyler, I'm a huge fan." Dylan grinned. "So, what can I help you with, today? Mr. Tyler, Ms. Parker?" He asked
"I uh..." I paused and chuckled a little. I thought about what Lauren said a week or two ago, about Dylan having a small crush on me. I felt terrible, but I needed to justify that I was now married to Steven. "Actually... It's Mrs. Tyler." I blushed and held up my left hand, flashing off the gorgeous wedding band on my ring finger.
Just as I suspected, Dylan became really upset. It wasn't noticable, but because I could read aura's, I could feel his emotions growing blue, and I could see the pain in his eyes. Shit. Lauren was right.
"Congratulations!" He tried to feign a smile.
"Thank you." Steven and I both said.
I turned around and continued to shop, trying to avoid eye contact with Dylan, though I could feel him staring at me the entire time I was in the shop.
I picked out another record, and some more incense, I went to go pay for it when something caught my eye.
I picked up the tiny silver object and took a closer look at it.
It was a beautiful silver ring with an Om cut into it. I felt such a connection to the ring, I was compelled to spend the $30 on it.
I placed it on my middle finger, and felt like charge of electricity pulsate through me.
"Woah." I whispered. Dylan must've heard me, or has been staring at me to begin with, but either way he started up a conversation.
"What? Are you okay?" He asked, seeming concerned. I walked up to the register staring at the ring, while I put my other items on the counter.
"Yeah.. I ju-" I paused, "I can't explain it. It's like... this ring and I.. we were meant to find each other. I know it sounds crazy... but I put it on and felt this surge of electricity run through my body." I breathed.
