Twenty Two

Once I landed safely in someone's arms. I didn't bring myself to open my eyes yet. I was busy thanking the gods above and I heard my savior talk something to me.

"I can't go through your lose ever again." My eyes shot open and I was looking into a pair of topaz colored eyes which undoubtedly belong only to the Cullens or may be who put on colored contacts.

Yes, it was Edward who'd saved me but I thought it was Damon who'd caught me.

I heard some more breaking noises and then a door slamming too loudly. Edward dropped me down on my feet and the first thing I did was, look right and left.

Where's Damon? I couldn't find him anywhere. He wouldn't have gone to the room to which he'd to go past me, even if he'd used his lightening speed, I would've noticed.

"Where's he?" I asked the only other person in the room with me.

"He left, I guess." Edward said carelessly.

I wanted to know if Damon is okay or not. He gets healed easily, yet I wanted check on my boyfriend's health. Sighs.

"What are you doing here, Ed?" I asked, even if that sounded rude, I don't mind because I didn't know how else to pose that question.

"Shall we go over to your house?" He asked. "Then I'll tell you the reason for my sudden visit."

I'd no other choice than to head home with him. But where's my boyfriend?

I asked Edward to wait a bit so that I could call up to Damon and inform him that I am gonna be leaving and also to ask where the hell is he?

I called up to Damon but he didn't pick up. I tried again and yes, he answered the call now.

"Where are you?" I asked, already getting into a panic mode. He's a vampire and he can take care of himself pretty well, yet I was being all panicky.

"Woods." Came out an one word answer. Huh? May be he's mad at Edward.

"Damon, I don't know why Edward behaved that way but I'm extremely sorry for his insane behavior." As I was in the middle of calming my boyfriend down, Edward growled. I ignored him and continued, "I'm leaving home. See you tomorrow, okay?" I expected for him to reply.

"Hmm." That's all I got in return as a response. He's too mad, I guess.

After heaving a long sigh, Edward and I left the Salvatore boarding house and got into his car. Edward being the fast maniac, drove the car too fast. I wasn't even in the mood to be scared the way he was driving. I was too upset about Damon. He could've spoken normally to me, right? He just had to show his anger on me. I don't mind it, yet I feel bad. Grr.

We got home and Edward rang the doorbell. Elena answered the door and was surprised to see Edward. I didn't get that much time as Elena to express how surprised I was when I saw him throwing punches at my boyfriend. I'm supposed to be angry but all I feel now is confusion.

Elena moved aside to let us in but Edward blocked my way from getting in. What now?

"Fetch my luggage, please." He threw the car keys at my face and walked in along with my cousin. She didn't mind me either.

If not for that word 'please', I wouldn't be carrying the two bags right now and heading upstairs. Luckily, Jeremy offered a helping hand, halfway through the stairs.

I already begged Jeremy to share his room with Edward since the guest room is kinda occupied by Alaric. He doesn't stay here but he's here most of the time. As we walked past my room, I opened my stupid mouth.
