Thirty One

Trixie's POV:

I woke up before Bella and quickly finished my bath and other stuffs. When I came out of the bathroom, she was still in bed and moved a bit. That was enough for me to feel that she's alive. Lol.

I decided to check on Elena and others but was slapped by a surprise for me. Elena's room was empty and when I tried to sneak a peek into Jeremy's room, it was locked from the other side. So, probably he was sleeping. I took a note of that in my head that one of the Gilbert kid was here and I gotta find the other. This day has too many adventures for me. Whooooo!

I got downstairs and found a lady making coffee in the kitchen. Nope, not the other one I was searching for. It was Jenna.

"Good morning, kid." She said,  lifting up her coffee mug a bit, implying that her coffee is also wishing me good morning or she was offering me some coffee.

"Good morning, aunt Jenna." I beamed at her as I poured myself some decent amount of coffee and added extra spoons of sugar. I like it that way.

"Where are those guys? I didn't see them when you people returned last night."

"You mean, Jake and Edward?"

She nodded.

"Oh! They are at the Salvatore brothers' place." I said and was about to take another sip when something struck as a lightening in my head. "How did you know that? I didn't see you last night either."

"I peeked from my room window when you guys got here and after you entered the house I peeked through my key hole." She snickered like a naughty kid. I chuckled and told her that Bella was upstairs in my room.

"I forgot to say, Elena had left to Stefan's place too. She asked me to inform you." Jenna said as she washed her coffer mug and was wiping it dry.

Huh? Elena left this early? There would be million imaginary question marks  above my head now. May be she went to talk about yesterday's scene.

I shrugged and continued to devour my coffee. Hmmmm.

Bella woke up by 10am while I was up by 8am. Jenna left with Alaric since it was a Saturday and a no-school day. Bella and I had our breakfast which was made by Jenna, of course and was in living room.

"I'm not gonna talk to Edward right way. I'll take it slow but will patch you guys up ASAP." I said to Bella to which she nodded.

We were talking about some random stuff about Forks and the days at school there. She was telling about her friends and how they were so much against Bella dating Edward.

I was against that idea either. I commented in my head and added a inward chuckle too.

It was almost noon and Jeremy wasn't up yet. My detective brain suggested that he might have came home drunk last night and must have got a hangover or something. I left Bella to stare at the television alone and got to Jeremy's doorstep.

I knocked twice and no answer. I banged a bit hard on the door and heard something like a groan at the other side.

"What?" Came an annoyed voice of Jeremy once he opened the door and witnessed my presence.

"I thought you were dead or something." I said with a wicked smile. 

"What a nice thing to think about your brother!" His sarcastic words were flowing out while he walked back inside leaving the door open which means I was allowed to enter, right? Anyways, I did enter.
