Eighteen

The doctors tortured me in the name of keeping me in observation and all. I had to go through million tests and scans for one whole day. Everyone left to house as Carlisle insisted them to. But I heard from Carlisle that Damon was too stubborn to move out of the hospital. Awe. Finally, he left saying that he'd be back soon.

I'm gonna be here for a day, right? Or, do they plan on experimenting with my body forever? Nah, they wouldn't do that.

Finally the tests were done. No one could figure out how I woke up. So, they labelled it as miracle.

Damon came to pick us up.

"What did they do to you?" He asked a bit annoyed.

"Just tests." I answered lazily. I was sitting at the back seat and Carlisle was in front, next to the driving Damon.

Damon snorted and turned to Carlisle, "No more tests, right?" He asked, with so much concern. I just felt like hugging him tightly. He's such a sweetheart. I don't know why Elena's friends were being mean to him when I first met them.

"Everything's over. She's completely fine." Carlisle answered. Damon nodded with his cute smirk.

We got to the Salvatore boarding house, since everyone were assembled there. I don't know why. The Cullens stayed at the hotel, well, that's what Carlisle told me. And now everyone were here in the living room. Elena, Jenna, Alaric, Jeremy, Stefan and Jake were there too.

"Hi guys." I grinned widely at all of them once the three of us entered the living room.

Emmet being the teddy bear he's, rushed towards me and squeezed me in a hug, followed by Alice. Elena was holding on to Stefan and smiling at me. Isn't she supposed to hug me, right now? Pft. I glared at my cousin and turned my attention back to another set of lovebirds who would always make me want to gag.

Edward and Bella.

Edward was looking at me with some unknown expression or more like, no expression at all. Bella was as usual burning holes on my face, just like the old days at Forks.

Oh! Jacob Black was huffing and giving death glares at Edward. It was so funny. Dramaqueens everywhere. Sighs.

"Is everything ready?" Carlisle asked the other Cullens and they nodded. Is what ready?

"Well, take care and be a good girl. We'll visit you often." Carlisle turned to me and shot me those words.

I blinked in confusion. "We're leaving back to Forks, honey." Esme said, clearly understanding that I wasn't following what Carlisle had just said.

"Whaaaat?" I barked and looked at Alice, Jasper and Emmet. They nodded slowly and hesitantly.

I started shaking my head and said, "Uh-uh, no one's leaving."

"But we have to return, Trix. We'd to make Sam and other guys to keep an eye on Forks since all of us are here. Though its against the treaty, we had no other choice." Carlisle reasoned, with his hand on my cheek.

"Billy and the guys want to see you too. So, we're leaving and they would be here in two days." Carlisle said wiping my tears. Yeah, I started crying.

I can understand but it still hurts. They just got here and are leaving so fast.

The whole time I felt Edward's eyes on me. I don't know what's going on in his head. Will he miss me? Had he missed me all these days? Gosh! So many weird and new questions popped up in my head.

"Okay." I breathed out. Carlisle pulled me for a short hug and others came forward for the hugging session.

The last person who came towards me was Edward. He just stood in front of me without saying or doing anything. He might as well left, instead of giving silent treatments. I looked up at his eyes and couldn't control my damn tears from flowing out. He held my waist and pulled me in a surprising hug. Though I could smell some burning smell from a certain emotionless girl in this room, I hugged him back, really tight. It's been really long that we had hugged.

"I'm gonna miss you." He said once we pulled back. I couldn't say that back to him though. I already lost him long back so no use in saying 'miss you too' or 'me too'. I just nodded and turned away, since I couldn't be near him anymore.

Edward hugged Elena too. When did they get so close? I've got lots of things to listen to.

With one final group hug, the Cullens left. Before leaving, Bella bitch looked at Damon and said 'bye'. That wasn't the highlighting part. She smiled at him and blushed badly. I just wanted to punch her in her face or slap her really really hard. She also looked at Jake longingly. Jake mirrored her expressions too but his were too intense. He must be kissing her already in his head. Yuk. TRIXIEEE, SHUT UP! Oh! She must be kissing Jake and Damon in her head either. GOOD LORD, WOULD YOU MIND SHUTTING UP?

Billy and the guys are coming in two days. I distracted myself with thoughts about their arrival and tried to push off the sad feeling of Cullens departure and my dirty side of my brain.

"So?" I started when Elena, Stefan, Damon and I were in the living room. Others have left home. Jacob left too, saying that he's going for a run or something.

It's around 8pm and we decided to stay back here at Salvatore boarding house, instead of hitting the Grill or go back home.

"So?" Elena looked confused and narrowed her already tiny eyes at me from across the couch. She was cuddled against Stefan and so was I, against Damon.

Does this make us a thing now? Where did that thought come from? I'm sure it's not my thought. Someone must've hacked my brain and it's malfunctioning right now.

Nah, we're BFF.

"Fill me in with what I'd missed when I was in coma." I asked as if it was just a mild fever or something. Elena's eyes looked pained all of a sudden and Stefan rubbed her arms and squeezed her. Okay, she did miss me too much when I was out.

They told me stuffs which weren't so important or anything. So I asked them to fast forward the non-trivial matters. And they'd nothing to say.

Damon was glued to me and he didn't let me go alone to the restroom too. This guy is scared that I may fall off again and go into coma. He didn't say the exact words but I guessed it the way he tagged along with me everywhere.

Since he couldn't come along with me to restroom, he sent Elena along. Since it's my cousin, I didn't have much problem. If not, I would've controlled my pee till I went back home or something.

Stefan wanted to go for a hunt. It seemed that he and Damon didn't feed on much ever since I got hospitalized. Poor fellows.

Elena and I forced the Salvatore brothers to go out of the house and have something. Damon groaned all the way out. Fussy boy, he is.

"Trix? What was your relationship with Edward?" Elena asked the creepiest question I'd been trying to stay away from.

Well, it's the time to talk about it, I guess. Sighs.
